Third Person's POV

As Sofia's birthday approached, Lucas could sense a shift in the air, a palpable excitement tinged with a hint of sadness.

He knew that Sofia's family was planning a special celebration for her back in Spain, and while he was happy for her, he couldn't shake the feeling of emptiness that settled over him at the thought of her absence.

Lucas asked the Infanta, "So, Sofia, are you excited for your birthday?"

"I am, Lucas! My family has planned a big celebration for me back home in Spain. I'll be staying there for a few days." Sofia enthusiastically said, smiling

Lucas's heart sank at Sofia's words, his mind already bracing itself for the emptiness that would inevitably follow her departure.

Lucas said, hiding his sadness that the Infanta isn't going to celebrate her Birthday with him, but who is he to demand, "That sounds amazing, Sofia. I hope you have a wonderful time with your family."

"Thanks, Lucas. I'll miss you while I'm away." Sofia eagerly said

Lucas meaningfully replied, "I'll miss you too, Sofia."

As Sofia's departure date drew near, Lucas found himself feeling increasingly restless and out of sorts.

Without her presence to brighten his days, he felt as though a part of himself was missing, a void that no amount of royal duties or distractions could fill.

Orson concerned, "Hey, Lucas, you seem kind of down lately. Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine, Orson. Just... missing Sofia, I guess." Lucas murmured

"Missing Sofia, huh? Sounds like someone's got a crush!" Shaun teased, Lucas unbothered

Dwayne supported Shaun, "Yeah, Lucas, you've been talking about Sofia a lot lately. Are you sure you're just friends?"

Lucas's heart skipped a beat at his friends' words, his mind racing with thoughts of Sofia and the possibility of something more between them.

"I... I don't know, guys. Maybe I do miss her more than I realized." Lucas paused

"Well, whatever the case may be, just know that we're here for you, Lucas. And if you ever need to talk about anything, we're all ears." Orson replied

Lucas nodded, grateful for his friends' support even as his thoughts continued to linger on Sofia and the undeniable bond they shared.

As the days passed and Sofia's absence stretched on, Lucas couldn't shake the feeling that something had shifted between them, something that went beyond mere friendship.

But for now, he would keep his feelings to himself, content to cherish the memories of their time together until the day they were reunited once more.

With a sense of anticipation, he unlocked his phone and saw the familiar name of Sofia lighting up the screen.

Without hesitation, he opened the message, his heart pounding with excitement.

Lucas: "Happy Birthday, Sofia! 🎉🎂"

He typed the message quickly, eager to be one of the first to wish her well on her special day.

As he hit send, a wave of warmth washed over him, knowing that even though they were miles apart, he could still be a part of her birthday celebration.

Seconds later, a response came through, filled with gratitude and excitement.

Sofia: "Thank you so much, Lucas! You're the first one to wish me happy birthday. 😊🎈"

Lucas couldn't help but smile at Sofia's response, his heart swelling with happiness at the thought of bringing joy to her on her special day.

When Sofia returned to UWC Atlantic College, Lucas's heart leaped with joy at the sight of her. He couldn't contain his excitement as he rushed to greet her, a wide smile lighting up his face.

Lucas cheerfully greeted, "Sofia! Welcome back!"

"Lucas! It's so good to see you again!" Sofia replied, hugging Lucas

"I missed you so much while you were away. I'm glad you're back." Lucas hugged back

"I missed you too, Lucas. It feels like forever since we last saw each other." The Infanta said

As they embraced, Lucas couldn't help but feel a surge of happiness coursing through him, the warmth of Sofia's presence washing away any lingering feelings of loneliness.

Lucas carefully selected a gift that he knew Sofia would cherish—a beautiful silver necklace adorned with a delicate pendant in the shape of a star. The pendant sparkled with tiny gemstones, reflecting the light with every movement.

Lucas chose the necklace because it reminded him of Sofia's radiant personality and the way she brought light into his life.

He hoped that whenever Sofia wore the necklace, she would be reminded of their special bond and the countless memories they shared together.

The Prince said, "I have something for you, Sofia."

"Oh? What is it?" Sofia asked, as she wasn't expecting the gesture

Lucas handed Sofia a beautifully wrapped gift, a twinkle of excitement in his eyes as he watched her unwrap it with eager anticipation.

The Infanta thanked, "Wow, Lucas, this is incredible! Thank you so much!"

Lucas smiled as Sofia admired the gift, his heart swelling with happiness at the sight of her delight.

He had spent hours carefully selecting the perfect present for her, wanting to show her just how much she meant to him.

"I'm glad you like it, Sofia. Happy Belated Birthday." Lucas greeted

Sofia appreciated, "Thank you, Lucas. This means the world to me."

As they shared a moment of happiness and connection, Lucas knew that his bond with Sofia was stronger than ever.

And as they spent the rest of the day catching up and laughing together, he couldn't help but feel grateful for the gift of her friendship.
