Wall Rose has been breached. It was the same thing that happened 5 years ago, how the Colossal titan came to view and broke the wall only to suddenly disappear again. The scout regiment rode their horses and immediately went back to the walls to protect the people and not lose half the population to the titans. Levi acted quickly and ordered his squad to fasten their pace.
They were beyond the walls already so it took time to get back there especially when it was all so sudden. They left behind their men and their bodies to protect the city.
Slowly, the wall started to appear within their view and they all went to their assigned stations to kill off the remaining titans in view. Levi stood on the back of his horse and zipped his ODM gear forward, there below was a titan walking towards the entrance that was sealed by a rock that he doesn't even know how it got there, no one strong enough would be able to carry that big of a boulder.
Spinning towards the titan, he aimed his blades at its nape, killing it in an instant. Once the titan fell and there Levi stood on top of it with three teens sitting there in fear. One, he noted, was inside the nape of another titan that laid there. "What the hell happened here?" He asked the two conscious teens.
The blonde boy gave him a brief explanation of how everything got to this moment and it baffled him on how there, inside the walls all this time, was a boy who could shift into a titan. That's how the boulder covered the broken gate, he discovered.
It was night by then and he was ordered by Erwin to follow him inside the cave to interrogate the titan shifter. They tried to get more information on the boy, but proved to be useless, stating that he couldn't remember much of his childhood.
Erwin shared to him what he wanted to accomplish with his titan abilities and why the scouts needed him, not the military corp that would rather kill him, in fear that their homes would be crushed under his hands should the day ever come that he goes rogue.
When asked whether he wants to join the scouts, his eyes gave a sense of familiarity to Levi. Every emotion displayed on his face brought him back to his past, the anger that fired within his heart and motivated him reminded him of the girl he admired from afar. How his anger resembled her's and the way he viewed the world showed his naivety of a child, just like when he first saw her. "I'll slaughter every titan I can!" Eren declared, bringing a wave of nostalgia to Levi.
"I'll kill everyone that gets in my way!" He remembered her declaring to no one really, but it still had the same intensity as Eren's.
"Not bad." Levi muttered, pushing himself off the wall as he walked closer to the boy caged. "Erwin. I'll take responsibility for him."
