"District Twelve. Where you can starve to death in safety."
- Katniss Everdeen, The Hunger Games
It was her. The hooded person he saw yesterday, the one who threw the dagger that was currently in his boot. Now it made sense, the initials carved on the knife really were for Adira Afrodille. But he never heard of her when he lived there all his life until he was captured by the scouts. Did she just coincidentally appear once he left?
Suddenly, the weapon in his boot felt heavy, he was well aware of the dagger that could easily scratch him should he make the wrong move. Once the newcomer found the person she was looking for, her hood slowly left her head, showing who she really was.
His eyes widened, his heart thumped, and his world stopped. That wasn't Adira Afrodille. No, he's seen her too much when he lived in the underground to know that was far from the girl she was introduced to be.
He remembered the small interaction between her and Isabel like it was just yesterday. This was the second time he's seen her up close, and she's beautiful. Beautiful like the snow that covered the trees, beautiful like the flowers that bloomed once in a blue moon, and if they did, the spotlight is on them. Her braids increased, he noticed.
"Oh, and I believe I left something yesterday at the courthouse. I trust that it's in your hands?" He heard her say. Reaching out to grab what was in his boot, he played with it in his hands, already comfortable with the feeling of its weight. "This yours?" He spoke up, and for the first time, they finally faced each other. "I see you've grown comfortable with the dagger in your hands. Had it not been mine, I would've assumed it was yours." She said, opening her hand as if asking for it back.
He threw it towards her and she easily grabbed onto its grip, placing it back to where it belonged from the multiple belts that wrapped her body. "Introduce yourselves." Erwin ordered.
The squad did as told, with Levi being the last. "The name's Levi. Captain Levi." He crossed his arms to avoid shaking her hand like she did with the others.

Supper had just ended and the team was discussing new matters at hand over tea. "I heard that they're planning on a major expedition beyond the walls thirty days from now. And that fresh graduates are to participate right off the bat too." Eld said.
"Is that true, Eld? Seems pretty sudden to me." At the corner of Levi's eyes, he saw Eren tense for a bit. Petra asked for confirmation.
"I'm not in charge of forming missions. But knowing Erwin, he's put far more thought than we have." Levi said, with the others agreeing. His eyes occasionally drifted to the two new members, mostly the white haired girl that continued sipping her tea and looked lost in thought, not listening in on their conversation.
