HuniePop and MonMusu New Covers + Updates! (2/21/2024)

Hello, how are you guys doing? Came here to make a short announcement for my two books. This is a short update for HuniePop but some changes going forward for my Monster Musume book.

New Covers (HuniePop)

The biggest thing about this short announcement is of course the new covers that I will be using going forward for the next foreseeable year. I spent a good chunk of seven hours a couple of days ago making most of these in one sitting. It took me FOREVER since I wanted to try something different this time around for my books.

I am so excited to announce for the next year, for every month, there will be a new cover for every month of the year. For HuniePop, I have decided to keep the same format but with adding character to the cover. I made sure most characters appear at least twice throughout the year and that each cover has a different look to each.

I wanna share a few of these covers right now to give you an idea.

These will be getting posted at different times this year, and I have a LOT more planned for all twelve months this year. I also plan to have certain ones for specific holiday months like Halloween, Christmas, and Thanksgiving. I will use the Halloween one to show you what you mean.

For what's left of February and for March, I will be using the cover that is currently uploaded, which depicts Jessie, Brooke, and Candace. Every month it will rotate and depending on how long it will take me to write this story, I will be doing this process every month for however long.

Also, HuniePop fans may ask, "LSD, why are you only using the HuniePop 2 girls and using the HuniePop 1 girls?" Because... in my opinion, HuniePop 1 has much less interesting designs and the character quality (in every sense) is better for the covers. HuniePop 1 has sprites and assets from a game that came out 10 years ago, so it just makes sense, Yes, I know almost all these characters are not even in the story yet, but HEY, give it time.

New Covers (Monster Musume)

Now for the Monster Girl fans, I cooked up something a lot more creative and a lot more effort than PNG pasting with a background, and it was so fun to create. It is the same deal as my HuniePop book: every other month, I will switch the cover to a different design. But for Monster Musume, it will only be a cover dedicated to one girl. Here are all of them.

These are all the covers you'll be seeing from now till about June. For these last couple weeks of February and for March, I will be using the Horo cover, and I will rotate these covers every single month. I will also be doing holiday covers, but such a thing will be limited seeing as the source I pull most characters, being Monster Musume Online, never really did many holiday characters.

Also, you may notice MonMusu has some lower-quality pictures, which is why Horo is on start-up internet in the banner. If you read my reason for HuniePop and why I don't use the first game sprites, it's the same issue. Monster Musume Online is a game that came out 10 years ago, shut down the next year, and is forever stuck in such a quality. I could use some AI or something to up the quality, but then that kills the transparency of the PNGs, and that would take more effort to get all fixed than just working with what I have.

You may ask again, "LSD, that's only a few months, what about the rest of the year?" Well... You didn't think there were only going to be four main girls? Just let me cook, I have A LOT planned.

Title Change (Monster Musume)

Last thing I wanted to address. You may have noticed the covers have a different subtitle of "Superheroes and Supervillains"  than the actual subtitle of "Heroes, Villains, and Royals". It's a simple title change, I figured I wanted to shorten the title and move the focus onto what I want to write about in the story while saving the "Royals" part for the foreseeable future.
