CH 28

Maddie, Calum, and Allison waited for Luke. All three of them were pressed together on the couch with Mean Girls paused on the TV, drinks and popcorn spread around the coffee table before them. Maddie huffed.

"Are we sure he's even com-" There was a knock on the door that made Allison send an i-told-you-so look to Maddie. Calum was the first one off the couch and to the door. The girls listened as he talked with Luke and walked with him back into the living room. They seemed to have clicked the moment Luke stepped into the house. Maddie and Allison sent each other knowing glances. Calum never clicked with anyone after the first word exchanged between them.

"Luke as arrived!" Calum yelled when he walked into the living room. Luke sat down next to Allison, Calum sitting to his right. The girls greeted him and the movie was started.

"I don't even think this is up for debate. Luke's in the group." Calum said with a grin. Maddie nodded, but then stopped and glanced at Calum with a smirk.

"It's because you think he's cute, isn't it?" Maddie laughed. Calum rolled his eyes as footsteps were heard from down the hall. Luke was walking back into the living room with red cheeks, no doubt that he heard what was just said.

"Luke, you're part of the girls now. Feel free to brag to anyone you know." Allison grinned as Luke sat back down next to Calum, an arm thrown over the back of the couch where Calum sat. Calum's head was turned to Allison and Maddie, his expression giving the most oh-my-god look ever.
