Danny plopped onto his bed exhausted. Tucker glanced at Danny. He was being abnormally secretive lately. Maybe it was the Gotham atmosphere but Danny could disappear and reappear like a shadow.

Danny slept soundly until he was forced to get up and go to classes.

"C'mon Danny. You promised to Jazz you would have amazing grades here" Tucker said lifting Danny's arm off his face.

He glared at Tucker before rolling his eyes and getting up to get dressed.

He followed Tucker to Sam's room and they left for Gotham Academy together.

"What have you been up to?" Sam asked Danny as they stopped at Danny's locker.

I was getting information on Gotham, the vigilantes and criminals.

Danny signed, the words broken up as they were translated because sign language and spoken English don't follow he same grammar rules.

"That's interesting I guess. Is there any reason in particular?"

I think the Justice League has Blood Blossoms, I'm not sure though.

"Really, it would make sense but who gave it to them"

My bets Vlad, but my parents could've found a way to get some too.

Tucker wrote something in his notebook.

"Alright, we need to get moving. The bells going to ring soon and I don't want to be written up for being late"

"Okay, see you later Danny" Sam said as her and Tucker left to go to their economics class. Danny had English.

Danny sighed as he sat down. English had never been his strongest subject. He was better at math, physical math. He likes to build, it's what he was good at.

"Now, as Shakespeare's plays..." The rest of the teachers words were blocked out by Danny's daydreaming.

"-Anny, Danny! MR. FENTON!"

Danny's head snapped up.

"Can I have your attention please?" The annoyed teacher asked.

Danny nodded.

"Great, you can read the next passage"

Danny didn't move.

Do you know sign language? Danny signed.

The teachers eyes widened and he seemed a bit flustered.

"Never mind, Grayson"

The kid near him started reading. A little while later Danny felt a poke.

He peeked over to see the kid who had been reading earlier smiling at him.

"My names Dick, sorry about earlier"

Danny wanted to scowl, even though this kid was being nice. He didn't need pity, he had friends.

It's not your fault Danny signed the words without thinking.

"I know but I still felt like I should apologize"

Danny looked at him intrigued.

How do you know sign language?

Dick smiled, I learned because a very close person to me is mute

Danny's face grew a little pink as he realized that Dick hadn't been looking down on him.

That's really impressive of  you, I know someone who tried to learn really hard for me.

Dick smiled.
