It's half past nine in the morning, the light has been invading my room for hours now, illuminating my face, I surrender to the will of the sun's brightness and get up from the soft mattress of my bed. I fix my hair in a messy bun before going into the kitchen in my pajamas, slowly joining the other kids. Sam watches sports news on television with a coffee cup in his hand, Steve is at the stove preparing omelettes for everyone while dancing to the music coming from his headphones and Bucky...Bucky laughs and looks at his cell phone...who knows who you will be writing to, I can't imagine...
"Good morning guys" I say in a low tone, sitting in my place, next to the empty chair next to Steve's

"Well woken up Alice... no shit I don't believe it...Look Bucky! Those assholes want to buy our fullback!" Sam exclaims after greeting me, continuing to watch the television which was showing the news on the transfer market

"Hi Ali, did you sleep well?" Steve asks me from behind as he takes the last omelettes from the pan "You left very early last night...were you sick?"

"Oh...no no...I was just very sleepy and...and I didn't want to stay there anymore..." I say sipping my large cup of coffee placed in front of me

"You know...you're a little whitish and have red eyes...I wouldn't want..." he begins as he brings the omelettes to the table Steve, then sits down when I interrupt him abruptly

"enough now, it's late and I want to enjoy my day off" I say swallowing a piece of omelette, delicious, as always after everything

"Ah...good morning brat, I didn't hear you arrive" Bucky greets me, placing the phone on the table to eat his omelette

"well, if instead of looking at that phone you would have seen that I sat next to you five minutes ago..." I say in a low, acid tone, he knows full well that I hate being called a brat, but he probably seems to be too focused on anyone is writing to him. He doesn't give me time to finish before he has already picked up his cell phone again, he smiles and smiles in front of that screen, so much that I want to punch him in the face.

"Guys... you can't understand what a great evening it was, all thanks to Alice!" Bucky starts laughing, placing his cell phone on the table for a while, he continues to smile, he smiles at the erotic thought of what happened last night "I haven't fucked someone like this since '39!"

"sorry, I'm going to get ready, I'm already late" I say with a fake smile on my lips as I leave, Sam and Steve look at me as I leave, Bucky starts telling the details of the previous evening... never in my life would I want listen to them.

"Alice? Can I?" Rogers asks, knocking on the door of my room, I put the hair straightener on the table and go to open the door, without saying a word, he opens it and enters, going to sit on the bed. "What is it?"

"Nothing, why do I think there's something?" I ask, continuing to straighten my hair. "I came here to get ready, that's all."

"Are you sure? you know you can tell me everything, then I know when you lie to me, I'm not like the other two who believe whatever you say"

"Relax Rogers, everything's fine" I say, putting on mascara, trying not to get my face dirty "We'll talk about it again tonight, okay? Now I have to finish getting ready to go out"

"By the way...About the exit...I don't think that..." he starts stuttering a little, unsure of what he's saying

"Yes yes I know, don't spend all your money on the machines and don't get in trouble with people who hurt your nervous system, got it" I say mimicking him, he seems to want to say something but I'm faster and I stop him "See you tonight Steve! "I finish by showing off my baggy jeans with a flaming red top before quickly walking out my bedroom door. I run into the hall taking the leather jacket, as soon as I see Bucky well dressed and he too with a leather jacket I go towards him agitated by the desire to go to the amusement park with him "Hello Buck! Where are the tickets?" I ask smiling, he seems taken by surprise

"the...the tickets?" he asks confused, raising an eyebrow, then looks behind and sees Steve with a worried expression "You didn't tell her...did you?"

"no...no, I couldn't do it, I can't tell her..." Steve replies, coming closer, I look at the two men worried...I don't understand what's happening

"What... what's the problem? Weren't we supposed to go to the amusement park together? like every month?" I ask, smiling nervously

"Ehm... I was thinking of going out with the girl from last night, to the amusement park... anyway, it's not a problem for you, right? anyway we go every month, like you said" He tells me looking into my eyes and placing his hands delicately on my shoulders

"No problem... sure, now go don't make her wait" I say smiling, maybe you can tell that it's a bit fake? I wait for him to come out and run into my room, slamming the door behind me. I throw the black bag on the bed and kick the chair away from me, Steve knocks insistently on the white door behind me, screaming my name among thousands of other unintelligible words. I open the wardrobe and take a black shirt with flaming red details and some black shorts, I put them on, I quickly queue and grab my black gym backpack before leaving the room. As soon as I open the white door I see, in addition to Steve, also Sam, who has just arrived, who immediately starts talking to me:

"No no no, where do you think you're going? Do you think it's normal to kick chairs like that? Hey...? Alice, you're right..." he tries in vain to make me see reason, but I quickly get past them and leave the house, slamming the door. I go to the garage and get into my matte black Jeep, start it and go at full speed through the busy streets of New York until I reach a little-known park, but wonderful for long runs. I come here every morning when I'm not on a multi-day mission, it helps me think and trains me physically, since I'm not as gifted as Steve and Bucky, I'm not a military man like Sam and I don't have tons of money like any other Avengers who doesn't have super powers. I run for about an hour and a half and finally arrive at my usual tennis court surrounded by the greenery of the park.
I started playing this sport as an outlet since this whole Avengers thing started, I could no longer play volleyball, the sport I have loved and practiced since I was a child, because, according to Tony "I would risk endangering the lives of innocent citizens if the opponents found me there", I think it's bullshit, but I listened to him and started with Tennis, where I didn't need to play with anyone else, but only a coach recommended by Tony, who knew everything. I enter the iron cage of the tennis court, I only remember now that I didn't have any lessons scheduled, then, since I was lucky enough not to have to share the unsecured court with anyone, I start playing a bit with the wall, after taking the black racket and yellow balls out of the bag. I make a few passes then start to try some smashes, one of those hits the wall directly and shoots behind me, my hands go to my knees to rest for two seconds while I wait to hear the sound of the ball bouncing, but I don't hear anything, I don't I hear the sweet sound of the ball bouncing, in its place I hear a familiar voice:

"You can't run away from home like that, little girl " Tony Stark smiles at me as I turn to him and a smile of relief appears on my face
