Kimhan nervously played with the rings on his fingers, waiting in his best friend's bedroom for the latter to emerge from the bathroom, ready for their first date. Their first date. Even in Kimhan's mind, it sounded like something out of his dreams, so unbelievable, so over the moon that he couldn't help but feel a bit erratic. As he waited, Kimhan took a moment to observe Porchay's bedroom. It had been a few weeks since he had last been here; both of them had been preoccupied with loving the wrong person, resulting in unnecessary distance between them. Kimhan understood now why it had been necessary, but he couldn't shake the thought that they could have spent those weeks cuddling, kissing, and going on numerous dates if they had been more honest with themselves or with each other. Nevertheless, Kimhan had resolved never to waste another minute or second with Porchay. Their time together was too precious not to spend it in each other's embrace.

His eyes fell upon a little piece of jewelry on the cupboard, next to some pictures of him and Porchay: a small blue butterfly ring. Kimhan couldn't help but smile, feeling a bit foolish, but his smile was radiant. Porchay still had it, still kept it after all these years. It was the little blue plastic ring Kimhan had given him after promising to giv

e Chay a butterfly. He remembered seeing it in a store with his mom, begging her to buy it for him. At first, she refused, but Kimhan was so insistent that he ended up crying in the middle of the store until his mother relented and bought it. He then rushed to their secret spot and waited for his best friend for hours. When Porchay finally arrived and he could hear both of their mothers talking and laughing nearby, Kimhan stood up in front of Porchay and said, "This is your butterfly, but he won't ever fly away, I promise. Mama swore he wouldn't!" Little Porchay wore the biggest, most beautiful smile for the rest of the day, proudly showing off his little butterfly ring to everyone. Feeling Porchay's arms slide delicately around his waist and his head resting on his shoulder, Kimhan's heart swelled with love and contentment.

"I'm caught!" giggled Porchay.

Kimhan took a moment to savor the sensation of pure bliss enveloping him. Porchay's body pressed against his own, his head resting on Kimhan's shoulder, and the dangerous proximity of his lips to Kimhan's neck left him feeling dizzy. The sound of Porchay's laughter, so close to him, was the most precious sound he had ever heard. Porchay's very existence was the most precious thing Kimhan had ever appreciated, loved, admired, and cherished. Damn, he loved him. He loved him so much.

"I'm ready if you want to go," Porchay said after leaving a peck on Kimhan's cheek.

"Let me admire you for a moment," Kimhan replied, turning around in Porchay's arms to look at him.

Porchay was dressed in a white shirt, three buttons open to reveal his beautiful and tempting collarbone, causing Kimhan's mind to wander to places it shouldn't. The beige pants he wore exuded a classic vibe, complemented by a pair of black boots. Kimhan was too stunned to speak. Porchay was mesmerizing, simultaneously soft and strong, cute and sexy. He was breathtakingly beautiful.
