ARREST ME, OFFICER KIM || CHAPTER 13

Tears welled up in your eyes as you buried your face in his chest. Taehyung held you close, offering comfort and solace in his embrace.

You stayed in Taehyung's embrace, unwilling to let go of the safety and comfort he provided. He reached for his phone and dialled your mother's number, his voice calm but filled with emotion.

As he spoke to her, you could hear the relief in her voice, the tension and worry melting away as she learned that you were safe.

"I have her, she's safe," Taehyung reassured your mother, his words a soothing balm to her frayed nerves. You could sense the relief flooding through the phone, your mother's voice trembling with emotion.

Taehyung listened intently, his gaze never leaving you, his arms a secure anchor around you.

After he hung up, Taehyung held you close, his touch gentle yet firm. You could feel his heartbeat, steady and reassuring, matching the rhythm of your own.

As you lay in Taehyung's embrace, a wave of guilt washed over you. You couldn't help but feel responsible for the trouble and danger he had faced because of you.

The thought that you had blackmailed him and yet he still came to your rescue filled you with a deep sense of shame. You knew you didn't deserve his kindness and protection, yet there he was, holding you close and comforting you.

You whispered a soft "I'm sorry" into Taehyung's chest, your voice barely audible over the sounds of the room. Pulling back slightly, you looked up at him, your eyes filled with remorse.

"I'm sorry for everything. I never meant to cause so much trouble. I know I've made mistakes, and I regret them deeply." Taehyung remained silent, his expression unreadable.

You felt a pang of guilt. "I understand if you're angry with me," you continued, your voice trembling slightly.

"I just want you to know that I never intended for any of this to happen. I never wanted to blackmail you or put you in a difficult position. I was just scared and desperate, and I made some very poor choices." Still, Taehyung said nothing, and the silence between you grew more pronounced.

You felt a lump form in your throat, and you struggled to hold back tears.

"I just want to make things right," you said softly, your voice cracking with emotion.

"I want to make amends for what I've done, and I understand if you can't forgive me. But please know that I'm truly sorry," Finally, Taehyung spoke, his voice low and measured.

"Y/N, what's done is done," he said, his tone cold and distant. "I can't change the past, and neither can you. All we can do is move forward." His words were like a dagger to your heart, and you felt a surge of pain and regret wash over you.

"I know I can't undo the things I've done," you replied, your voice barely a whisper.

"But I promise I'll make it up to you, somehow, someday." Taehyung's expression softened slightly, and for a moment, you thought you saw a glimmer of warmth in his eyes. "I appreciate your apology, Y/N," he said.

The other officers took the criminals into custody as per Taehyung's command, and you both headed back to the venue.

After leaving the scene, the drive back to the venue was quiet. You sat beside Taehyung, lost in your thoughts. Taehyung, on the other hand, seemed lost in his own thoughts, his expression unreadable.
