5 Hope: An Everlasting Embrace

11 4 5

Looking inside of me and you,
And I know I should find,
The answer to the void inside.

When did things become so blue?
What’s leaving me feeling so left behind?
Surely there’s something, someone out there?

Now all I want to know is if it’s true,
The myths and stories in our mind.
Is there hope at the end of the jar?

Hope, a feeling of warmth and embrace,
Hope, the reason I still exist.
Hope, a promise to carry on.

A perpetual melody,
Singing inside my head, and my heart.
Hope, the last thing inside me,
I guess there never was a void after all.

Like laughter in the sunshine,
And dancing in the rain.
Hope will never leave us in vain.

For as long as we have hope inside our hearts,
No one can bring our lives to an end.
For hope is the last bit of magic left in this world.

We only ever need to believe.
Hope will ease our minds and our aches relieve.
Drop our weapons, and gather round.

Drink some tea and warm the heart.
Melt the ice and the smiles all start.
Hope has the power to do all this.

Hope is the food of our survival.

It is our strength and our reason to live. It feeds us positivity in our most darkest hours.

Without hope, wars wouldn't end and humankind would have long ceased to exist.

Thus far, in this series, we have looked at Happiness, Bliss, Joy, Love and now we discuss Hope. In my endeavor to brighten your day, I do hope you can see the patterns thus far in this narrative to the poetic series.

For one to exist, we need to have the four elements in our road to inner peace and happiness.

The secret is actually putting in the efforts to achieve and attain true inner peace. Have you attained it?

Has the pain of the past faded?

Have you noticed your positive thoughts double lately?

If not, you need to start again. The road to happiness is a rocky path and only the most determined and diligent ever reach their destination.

It is a test of patience and virtue. A test of grit and endurance.

Do you have what it takes?

H - have an

O - open mind with

P - positive

E - emotions

Something to ponder on once more.
