I was getting ready for the press conference regarding the incident at Stark Industries last night when I heard a knock on my door. "Come in!" I yelled loud enough for the person to hear. The person came in. Aiden. I smiled and hugged him, "Missed me that much huh?" I teased him.

Aiden returned the hug with a gentle squeeze before pulling back slightly to look at me. "Always," he replied with a grin. "How are you holding up after everything that happened?" he asked, concern evident in his eyes.

I sighed and ran a hand through my hair, feeling a wave of exhaustion wash over me.

"I'm okay, just trying to process everything," I admitted. "But having you here makes it a little easier." Aiden smiled softly and brushed a stray strand of hair from my face. "I'm here for you, always," he reassured me, his gaze filled with sincerity.

As Aiden's fingers lingered on my cheek, a warm feeling spread through me, and for a moment, it felt like time stood still. I leaned into his touch, relishing the comfort and closeness he offered. Our eyes met, and in that shared gaze, there was understanding, affection, and something more – a silent acknowledgment of our bond.

Aiden closed the distance between us without a word, his lips meeting mine in a gentle yet electrifying kiss. It was as if all the worries and chaos melted away in that moment, leaving only the warmth of his embrace and the softness of his lips against mine. Wrapped up in each other's arms, we savoured the intimacy of the moment, finding solace and strength in each other's presence.

When we finally pulled back, a smile tugged at the corners of our lips, and I felt a sense of peace wash over me. "Thank you," I whispered, my voice barely above a breath. Aiden's smile widened, his eyes filled with tenderness. "Anytime," he replied softly, his words carrying the weight of his unwavering support.

In that quiet moment, as we stood together, I knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, having Aiden by my side made everything feel a little more bearable.

As we embraced, lost in the comfort of each other's arms, the moment was shattered by the sound of the door creaking open. Mom stood in the doorway, her expression a mix of surprise and warmth. "Oh, I didn't mean to interrupt," she said, her smile genuine despite the interruption. "Tony is about to start."

Quickly, we untangled ourselves, though the connection lingered in the air between us. "We'll be there," I assured her with a nod, exchanging a knowing glance with Aiden before he gave me a reassuring smile.

[At Tthe Press Conference]

"And now, Mr. Stark has prepared a statement. Neither he nor Ms. (Y/N) will be taking any questions," Rhodey informed the press as both the Starks made their way to the stage, flashes of cameras illuminating their path. Tony stood at the podium, with (Y/N) beside him.

"Thank you. It's been a while since I stood before you all. I've decided to stick to the cards this time," Tony quipped, drawing a chuckle from the press as he produced the cue cards Coulson had provided earlier.

(Y/N) noticed Christine's glare directed at her father, accompanied by a forced smile. "How in the world is she not fired yet?!" (Y/N) muttered under her breath, anticipating the impending confrontation.

Tony cleared his throat and began, "There's been speculation regarding my involvement in the recent events on the freeway and the rooftop." His speech was interrupted by Christine.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Stark, but do you honestly expect us to believe that was a bodyguard in a suit that conveniently appeared, despite the fact that you—" She was cut off by Tony.

"I understand it's confusing. It's one thing to question the official story, but it's another to make wild accusations or insinuate that I'm some sort of superhero," Tony asserted firmly.

"I never said you were a superhero," Christine retorted. (Y/N) was about to interject when she caught Pepper's warning look from the crowd. With a resigned sigh, she glanced down, opting to remain silent for the time being.

"Didn't?" Tony questioned, raising an eyebrow at the woman's response.

"Mmm-mmm," she affirmed with a shake of her head.

"Well, good, because that would be outlandish and fantastic," Tony remarked, glancing down at the cue cards before meeting the woman's gaze again. "I'm just not the hero type. Clearly, with this laundry list of character defects, all the mistakes I've made, largely public."

(Y/N) leaned in close to her dad and whispered urgently, "Just stick to the cards, Dad." Tony turned slightly towards her, nodding in acknowledgment. "Yeah, okay. Yeah."

"The truth is," Tony took a deep breath, pausing for dramatic effect. "I am Iron Man." As the words left his lips, the entire press erupted into cheers and a flurry of questions. (Y/N) was stunned but couldn't help but smile. She spotted Christine in the crowd, wearing a look of anger. Ignoring the woman's glare, (Y/N) defiantly gestured with her middle finger and then walked over to her dad as the press swarmed around them, bombarding them with questions.
