The door to the Hog's Head swung open with a creak as Draco and Julia stepped inside, their hearts heavy with the weight of the world upon their shoulders. Aberforth Dumbledore, the proprietor of the seedy establishment, eyed them with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion as they approached.

"Can we stay here for a while?" Draco's voice was hoarse with exhaustion, his eyes pleading with Aberforth for sanctuary amidst the chaos that had engulfed their lives.

Aberforth studied them for a moment, his gaze lingering on the haunted expressions that marred their faces. But then, with a nod of his head, he gestured towards a narrow staircase that led to the upper floors of the inn.

"Rooms are up the stairs. Take the first one on your left," he grunted, before turning away to tend to the other patrons.

With a sense of relief washing over them, Draco and Julia ascended the stairs, their footsteps echoing in the empty corridor. Aberforth's room was sparse and dimly lit, but it offered them a respite from the trials and tribulations that awaited them outside.

As Aberforth departed, Draco turned to Julia, his heart heavy with guilt and regret. He had failed to protect her from harm, had watched helplessly as Bellatrix had unleashed her fury upon her. But now, as he laid her down upon the bed, he vowed to do whatever it took to keep her safe.

Julia's hand reached out to him, her fingers intertwining with his as she pulled him closer. Draco hesitated for a moment, uncertainty flickering in his eyes, before he settled on the edge of the bed beside her.

"Why didn't you run?" Julia's voice was barely a whisper, her eyes searching his for answers.

Draco's heart clenched at the question, his mind racing as he struggled to find the words to explain. But then, with a sigh, he spoke, his voice trembling with emotion.

"I could never leave you, Julia. Not even if it meant risking my own life."

Julia's eyes widened in surprise, her heart skipping a beat at his confession. She had never dared to hope that Draco felt the same way about her, that his love for her ran as deep as her own for him.

"Why?" Her voice was barely more than a breath, her eyes pleading with him for answers.

Draco hesitated for a moment, his gaze dropping to the floor as he struggled to find the words to express the depth of his feelings. But then, with a sigh, he looked up at her, his eyes filled with a mixture of longing and determination.

"Because I love you, Julia," he whispered, his voice barely audible above the soft rustle of the wind outside.

Julia's heart soared at his words, her doubts and fears melting away in the warmth of his confession. Without hesitation, she leaned forward, her lips meeting his in a tender and passionate kiss.

As they pulled away, their foreheads pressed together, Julia spoke, her voice filled with emotion. "I love you too, Draco."

With a smile that lit up the room, Draco reached out to her, his hand cupping her cheek as he looked into her eyes. "Will you be my girlfriend, Julia?"

Julia's heart swelled with joy at his question, her eyes shining with tears of happiness. "Yes, Draco. Yes, I will."

And then, as they sealed their newfound love with another tender kiss, Draco and Julia knew that no matter what trials lay ahead, as long as they had each other, they could face anything together
