A Realistic Break Up Notice from Riven To Musa

I can't promise that I have not changed.
I cannot promise that I won't have many different needs.
I can't promise you that I won't hurt your feelings sometimes!
It's the truth and truth will sting half the time,
Through half of our whole lives.
Love requires compromise,
But You REFUSE To Compromise
With Me.

So all I can do is repeat this truth,
The truth you won't recognize is inside of you.
I can't promise you that I will never be erratic.
I cannot promise you that our faults will never show.
I cannot promise you that I will always be strong.

BUT —
I have tried to support you, even though you keep pushing me away,
I have shared my thoughts and feelings with you, even though you're not listening at all.
I gave you plenty of freedom to be yourself even when it means you being mean to me.
I promise that I do understand what you're doing for a living!
I promised that I would be completely honest with you.
After all, what's a partner without honesty?
This is why I must walk out the door on you.

I'll always root for you in this heart of mine,
But romance partners, we can be no more.
I worked hard to build up my dignity and sanity,
Only for you to tear it all down again.

This poem letter was based off of the anonymous poem below I have found on an app on my ipad I did not remember having.

I will help you achieve all your goals.

But - most of all
I do promise that I will always love you.

At the end of Season when Musa loses her voice to Rumplestiltskin something better of an interaction with Riven happens during this time as she walks him to the gate.

He hands her directly a note book page with a few pictures of them on it .
"I'm so sorry this is the only way I could truly tell you.
I tried to make it known clear as the light of Solaria's two suns, but even then you didn't, couldn't even pick it up.
And you never let me get a word in edgewise, Musa.
But the truth is our relationship has only been what you want it to be.
That makes it one sided.

and Stella & Brandon have had built up for the last few years, Musicnote.

"Riv-ven," She stammered tears streamed through her eyes as he left a kiss on her cheek and let go of her hand and walked through the gate.
The girls came and Stella most of all was in complete shock at the state Musa was in. She sat down on a bench and covered her face in her hands the tears were gushing so hard and were so sorrowful.
"Musa what is it?" asked Stella the only other person oblivious to their own flaws besides Musa.
"Riven broke up with me on account of my behavior and attitude being too passive aggressive." Musa admitted.
"To be honest, Bloom and I saw that coming." Tecna admitted.
"Why didn't you tell me?" gasped Musa.
"It's not a friendship job that we like to make a daily job of. It's not very healthy to be super preachy all the time, Musa." answered Bloom. "Look what preachiness did to Aisha when it came to her father's opinions about how she needed to behave."
"She is right Teredore being too preachy because he was afraid only encouraged the opposite of everything he had intended to happen with Aisha." Flora jumped into the conversation with Bloom and Tecna sharing advice was something she was getting better at slowly over the last six years. "I have been far too preachy with Mielle myself and that never did anything good. It got her into trouble. More trouble than I wanted to handle even with earning my Enchantix."
"They didn't tell you because they knew it would embarrass you, Musa and they knew you wouldn't listen at all at the time. I wouldn't have listened either if I was in your shoes as well." admitted Electra, Aisha's trainee and cousin friend from Energy city of Andros.
"We'll let you calm down." Aisha said. "Let's go to Gardenia girls so Musa can have the dorm to herself for a while."
