CHAPTER 7: ALCOHOL
LUNA'S POV
A few years ago...
I'm tired, and yet I'm here in a dimly lit bar. Kahit gusto ko ng magpahinga ay parang hindi rin mangyayari 'yon kung uuwi kaagad ako. I-o-overthink ko lang lahat. And another thing that I really really would rather not think about right now.
Hindi naman ako magpapakalasing. Balak ko lang magpatay ng oras para pag-uwi ko ay diretso tulog na lang ako.
I maneuvered my way through the crowd, and I headed straight towards the bar counter. Pero bago pa ako makarating doon ay kaagad nakuha ng atensyon ko ang bulto ng isang lalaki na pamilyar na pamilyar sa akin.
I haven't seen him in awhile. The last time I did was during my brother's proposal to Lucienne. What are the chances that I will get to see him here? Especially when he's the other thing that I try not to think of as much as I can.

I inhaled a huge breath and held it in for a few seconds before slowly releasing it. I squared my shoulders before approaching the bar.
Imbis na lumapit sa upuan na nasa dulo na siyang balak ko kanina ay naglakad ako papunta sa bakanteng upuan na nasa tabi niya. I pulled myself up on the high stool, expertly settling myself on it.
"Mukhang hindi na kita kailangan tanungin kung kamusta ka." He didn't look up from the glass of spirit in front of him as if he didn't hear me. "You're out of your wheelchair, so that's a good thing, right? You can save me a dance at the wedding."
It looks like it was the right thing to say to get his attention because he finally looked up.
Magnus looks disheveled, which is far from the clean look he's always sporting. Magulo ang buhok niya at halata sa mga mata niya na marami na siyang nainom dahil bahagya ng namumula ang mga iyon.
"Dawson," he murmured.
"Luna na lang para bagay sa kagandahan ko. Kapag Dawson kasi feeling ko isa sa mga kuya ko ang kausap mo o gusto mong makausap." I beamed at the bartender, who gave me a nod and a gesture to give him one second. Nilingon ko si Magnus. "Ikaw? Wala ka bang nickname?"
"Wala."
"How about Mags? It sounds cool. Shortened term for a gun's magazines," sabi ko at umakto pa akong bumabaril.
"No."
"Then when about honey? Love? Sweetheart?" Nang lumalalim ang gatla sa noo niya ay napangisi ako. "Mags is it then!"
