Chapter 2: Rimuru's First Real Task

Rimuru POV

Rimuru: "Oof!!" I grunted as I was blown back.

2,000 years have passed since I was born, named, and since Lord Veldanava started training me. During that time, I went through rigorous training and sparred with each of the Primordial Angels.

At first, I was way too weak to defeat them. However, as time went on, I began to learn and adapt to their fighting style.

I also altered my human form by removing my horns and changing a bit of my facial structure. This is because I didn't wish to look exactly like Veldanava-sama.

Nevertheless, I am unable to harness my complete potential in combat due to the utilization of my magicules. Therefore, I am unable to fully unleash my formidable powers and abilities. Luckily, my magicule count was even higher than Feldway-san's so that wasn't much of a problem.

As time passed, defeating them became even easier than eating a piece of cake. Even Feldway-san, who was on a whole other level, was no match for me.

This was mainly because of the Authority I was granted by Veldanava-sama, prior to my training. It's called Stellar Prestige, and unlike skills, it's simply a raw authority, similar to Administrator Authority, which the Primordial Angels possess. This authority possesses several abilities.

The first one is Chant Annulment, which allows me to cast a spell that doesn't require any chanting. The second one is Magic Boost, which boosts my magic power to the Ultimate level. This means that even the simplest spells I cast are at the level of an Ultimate skill.

The third ability is Law Domination, granting me the power to manipulate and alter the laws of the world as I see fit. The fourth one is Raising Existence, which raises my existence to the Ultimate level. Even without possessing an Ultimate skill, I am skilled at the level of an Ultimate skill user, and may even surpass them.

The fifth one is Attribute Boost, which enhances my attributes, particularly my dark attribute, as it is the most dominant. The final ability is Nigh Mastery, granting me the power to achieve near perfection in any skill I acquire, be it an Ultimate skill or a modest art form. This is my most helpful ability.

It also helped me master other talents such as cooking, forging, and much more.

Out of all these abilities, the first four of them make up the Administrative Authority given to the Primordial Angels. The last two abilities are what sets me apart from them. Also, these abilities are not like sub-skills, which you can master just by acquiring them. 

You need to train and perfect your mastery over these types of abilities, and if successful, then they can be even greater than what skill can hope to offer. This is what helps me surpass the angels by a long shot.

However, when it comes to fighting Lord Veldanava, as expected, I am way too weak to defeat him. Well, it's nothing to worry about. Besides, no one has the capability to beat Lord Veldanava in anything.

Which is why I'm currently laying on the ground after being blown back by him.

Veldanava: "Impressive. You have improved even more, Rimuru. Faster than any subordinate I ever had." He complimented. His deep azure eyes gazing down at my beaten-up figure. His expression betrayed joy and pride.

Rimuru: "I am honored, Lord Veldanava." I said as I got up.

Veldanava: "Good. However, you should try and use your Ultimate skills as well. They aren't just for show. You have to use them to win." He stated, his voice carrying authority and wisdom.
