“Sino ka para utusan mo ’ko?” I raised my brow.
“Obviously, your tutor for today, Reina.” she said stating a fact.
“I can sit if I want to! You don’t need to command me!” Inis kong tinahak ang sarili papunta sa upuan, I crossed my arms immediately when I saw her fixing her bag — linagay niya ang mga kailanganin na pag-aralin namin. Kompleto ’yong nasa lamesa, mga highlighters, flash cards, sticky notes, even her handmade notes!
Kinuha ko ’yong notes niya at hindi mapigilang mamangha lalo na ang linis ng kanyang sulat kamay, it really reminds me of bookman old style. Binawi niya agad ’yon kaya napasimangot ako.
“Focus on me,” she said in a stern voice.
Napalingon agad ako sakanya at napasimangot. Ngayon ay ang lapit ko na sakanya at kitang kita ko ang kanyang mahahabang pilik mata. If i were a normal person i will immediately conclude na pina-extension niya or perhaps a fake one, but then i’ve always seen that for like a year already and i can’t help to say. . . such a lucky bastard. Her shoulder length hair are in disheveled, her not quite long bangs are not visible in her forehead it looks like she did that so that I can see her face clearly. She’s wearing a black sweater and a dark green sweatpants, I can’t help myself to roll my eyes, she’s fucking good today.
“May boyfriend ka naba?” tanong ko.
Napatigil siya sa ginawa niya at napalingon sa akin.
“Why did you ask. . .”
I shrugged my shoulders, “Wala lang. . . It looks like you can pass as a girlfriend right now. . .” I said.
I saw how she plastered a smirk on her face. Kinuha niya ang isang ballpen at binigay niya sa akin kasama ang isang bond paper. Inis ko siyang tinignan ngayon dahil parang nagmamayabang na siya ngayon dahil lang sa sinabi ko! I mean. . . it’s not even a compliment! I’m just telling what I observed right now!
“Have you already solved this?” tanong niya at tinuro niya ang isang math problem.
Nakasalubong lang ang kilay ko. “Ang tanong ko kung may boyfriend kaba. . . pero bakit ba ako nagtatanong? sino naman ang magka-gusto sa ’yo? Baka nerd din ha. . .” I immediately chuckled diverting the topic.
“Solve this one, Reina. . .” I can feel the seriousness of the tone of her voice, tinignan ko agad pabalik ang equation at masasagutan ko naman ’yon ng wala sa oras!
“I bet! Mga tipo mo ’yong pangit, lampa, at nerd na kagaya mo. . .” I said pissing her off.
She crossed her arms while raising her brow. I pursed my lips getting interested, huh, you’re now pissed? Dahil pinili mo ’tong mag tutor sa akin. . . pwes mag dusa ka.
“Kung hindi nerd baka naman nasa kanto ’yan? ’Yong hithit nang hithit sa sigarilyo?” I said raising my brow and chuckled. But instead, I saw her scoffed.
“That’s not even my type. . .” she said still crossing her arms.
Natawa naman ako nung pumatol siya sa pang-iinis ko sakanya. “Ano? Type mo ’yong gwapo? Varsity player? Anak ng mga bachelors? May kaya sa buhay? What? Don’t tell me you have that kind of standards? Hah,” natatawa agad ako sa sinabi ko.
“Gwapo?” she shrugged her head while she’s chuckling, “Lahat ng sinabi mo wala ’yan sa type ko. . . and I don’t have a boyfriend right now if that’s only your concern.” she immediately gestured her hand and point the math problem while she’s raising her brow looking at me.
Napawi agad ang mga ngiti ko, she looks like she’s not pissed at all! Inis ko kinuha ’yong textbook at binasa ang math problem at sinagutan agad ’yon, when she saw me that I struggled a bit she immediately handed me a science calculator, tinaas ko ang kilay ko at kinuha nalang ’yon dahil wala akong choice.
