To those that linger.
Avert your eyes.
For I am not some spectacle.
I will not head to your call.

You cast your gaze my way.
I meet it with hesitation.
Every alarm in my head goes off.
Yet I still mix my gaze with yours.

I feel misunderstood.
My afflictions draw my eyes to every small movement.
Worry a constant within the skull.

There are worms in your skin.
That movement was danger.
They want your attention.
Stop things from moving.
Understand everything around you.

Reflect and become.
Draw less ire to yourself.
And give them what they are.
A flirt for a flirt.
A joke for a joke.

Nothing in life is easy.
I fear letting you down.
Will be no different.
So be done with me.

My ailments are enough worry.
So while you do have your pull.
My life is too heavy for your hands.
I cannot see another young person.
Altered by my darkness.

So out of respect for you.
And in understanding of myself.
Maybe we shouldn't do this.

Another dance.
In another life maybe.
But this one isn't right.
Not right now.

I'm sorry.
