KAIA GROANED AS she and Ashlyn sat on the couch in Kaia's living room with Ashlyn's parents sat on the arm chair together and Kaia's mother standing before them, the three adults sharing a look at the sight before them. Ashlyn was curled up into her shirt, no doubt stretching it out as Kaia was curled into the corner of the couch, clenching a pillow as she stared blankly at the off tv screen before her.

It was rather obvious something had happened to the two girls at school that had drained them. It wasn't a shock to see Ashlyn in such a state, it was often she was reverted to this turtle shell of a human after a rather stressful day at school, but it wasn't nearly as often for Kaia to be reverted to such a state. It was no secret that Ashlyn wasn't a people person, often preferring to stay to herself and if forced, Kaia, but Kaia was a bit different from the orange haired girl.

Kaia can handle social interaction, and if needed, excel in it. She was by no means a people person, but she can handle herself enough to be friendly with multiple people throughout the day and come back perfectly fine whereas sometimes a single conversation was enough to drain Ashlyn completely of her social battery. So whoever they had a run in with must have been a lot to put both of them in such a state.

"Looks like school went well." Ashlyn's mother, Emma Banner, mused out as she tossed a couple corns of popcorn into her mouth that Ji-Soo had just offered her.
