Abandoned is not a feeling.
It's an interpretation of events.
—Charif ShanahanYour father left you before you were born.
Your father didn't want you until he was not wanted.
Your father finally met you after you both lived nine years without.
Your father only wanted you because he needed to be wanted.
Your father never learned the difference between want and need.
Your father held you once and never again.
You father was as real as a waking dream.
Your father was a waking dream.
Your father still lives but sometimes it feels easier to say he died.
Your father still lives but why doesn't it feel like it?
Your father still lives but who killed him?
Your father still lives but who took him away?
