Who does life wait for
If not for me?
If not life, then
Who is it tugging at my wrist?
If not life, then
Who is it screaming in my face
Even as I write this poem?
If not life, then
Who is it curling around my neck
Tail covering my eyes,
Taunting me with its warmth?
If not life, then
Who is it in my ear, yelling
Wake up!
