~Final Prologue~

————

"Is it done yet?" Alec asked, his impatience evident in his tone. He glanced over at his sister, Jane, who was also eagerly waiting for the transformation to be complete.

Marcus, who's sitting on Aro's right side throne, chimed in, "It will take more than a few more minutes for the venom to take effect on the two."

"It's been hours already.!" Alec protested. Jane rolled her eyes at her brother's impatience. "Don't tell me you like her?" she sneered and rolled her eyes.

Alec scowled at his sister's insinuation. "And what made you think of that?" he scoffed, giving her a light pat on the shoulder. He was slightly intimidated by his sister though.

Just then, Aro emerged from the isolated sienna room. He clasped his hands together, a wide wicked grin on his face.

"Well well!" he exclaimed. Caius asked "How did it go?"

"There are already changes, Novaria and Ivan will awaken in any minute." Aro announced, his excitement evident in his voice.

With a wicked smile, Aro took his place on the throne, glancing at his loyal followers, before his gaze landed on Alec, who was having a small smile to himself.

"And that smile is about?" Aro questioned, causing Alec to snap out of his thoughts and straighten his posture.

"Nothing." Alec responded quickly and fake cough.

Just then, one of Aro's servants signaled him. "It's happening." they said. Aro's smile widened as he nodded. "Excellent! Motion them to come out and, you all, must stay away. They are still newborns." he commanded.

The servants swiftly moved to carry out Aro's orders, standing in lines near the doorway as Novaria and Ivan began to awaken from their transformation. Everyone in the room held their breath in anticipation, waiting for the two new vampires to take their first breath as immortals.

As Novaria emerged from the room, her gaze was now piercing, her ruby eyes gleaming with newfound strength and power.

Her skin, that was once soft and fragile, was now smooth and cool to the touch, a telltale sign of her transformation into a vampire. Every aspect of her being had undergone a dramatic change, and it was evident in her appearance.

Her long, curly hair, a shade of rich mahogany, seemed to have come to life with an added luster and volume. Small streaks of ash grey ran through her locks, accentuating her striking features. Her face, angelic and ethereal, could rival even the most beautiful vampires in existence.

Gone was the shy, anxious girl she once was. In her place stood a dark and alluring creature, with a commanding presence that demanded attention. Novaria's aura had taken on a darker hue, akin to a black swan, but her beauty remained still.

As for Ivan, his transformation was equally remarkable. His features were now sharper and more defined, with his piercing green eyes taking on a hint of crimson. He stood tall and confident.

Of course, Alec's eyes widened as he took in Novaria's new form. The weak and vulnerable human girl he just saw several hours ago was now something altogether different, and he couldn't take his eyes off her.
