~Chapter 05~

————

Novaria and Victoria walked in silence, the only sound around them was the rustling of leaves and the gentle flow of the nearby river as they left already left the werewolf-land. The tension between them was palpable, both were still processing the events that had just unfolded. Novaria clenched her fists, frustration still evident on her face, as she thought about almost capturing the brunette, Bella, only to be saved by someone.

"I should have grabbed a bigger rock and pulled her more deeper in the water." Novaria began, letting out a small but blank chuckle.

"Literally. But You did great." Victoria said with a smirk. "But next time, let's not waste any more time. We need to kill her instantly and screw the surroundings."

Novaria couldn't help but laugh. "And you know, I have a feeling that the boy who saved her from the water was the russet wolf who was chasing us."

Victoria rolled her eyes, uninterested in the identity of their enemies. "I don't care about those mutts or who they are, as long as they get in our way."

As Novaria got up from her spot, Victoria raised an eyebrow. "Where do you think you're going?" she asked, curiosity evident in her tone.

"I'm going back to voltu— Italy." Novaria responded calmly, causing Victoria to narrow her eyes. "Italy? So you've been there since then?"

Novaria nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "Centuries, Victoria. The volt- i mean i moved on and moved there. It's a long story." Novaria tried to find a reason. Victoria rolled her eyes but she didn't stop Novaria from leaving.

"Just make sure you come back." she said "I can't imagine being separated with my sister again for so long."

Novaria's playful smile didn't falter as she placed a reassuring hand on Victoria's shoulder. "I'll be back, i swear to you." She chuckled before adding "I can always track you down anyway." she added with a playful wink, making Victoria smile and laughed.

Victoria's smile turned into a wicked grin as she whispered in Novaria's ear, "And our mission to take out that brunette is far from over. We'll make sure she and those Cullens pay for what they've done." The two sisters shared a wicked laugh.

Victoria leaned away from Novaria, her crimson eyes blazing seriously. "That's why it's crucial for you to be here with me." she said, a hint of command in her tone.

Novaria nodded, her own eyes burning with the same fire as her sister's. "I'll be at the Seattle, find me there." Victoria stated, her voice firm.

"Ah, Seattle." Novaria mused to herself, a sly smile playing on her lips. "Alright." Their conversation was cut short as they both heard a faint noise in the distance. They instinctively knew it was time for them to part ways, at least for now.

"Remember, come back me." Victoria said, her voice laced with a hint of desperation. Novaria nodded in understanding.

"You don't even need to remind me." Novaria said before both of them separated in ways. Her heading back to the Volterra because she can feel that something is currently happening over there. Oh, she forgot...

"It's Saint Marcus day."
