There's something about evenings. The city always seem alive with the dazzling display of lights, casting a vibrant of colors onto the bustling sidewalks, the roads were filled with symphony of sounds- the honking of car horns, the reviving of engines, the laughter of people passing by.

It's always busy and chaotic.

But even with so many people around me, I felt alone. Too many noises around me, yet it felt quiet. Too many chaos around me, yet it felt calm.

It had been too calm and peaceful for a couple of days.

Yeah because someone hasn't disrupted our peace with his presence.

My subconscious mocked.

Well, good for me.

I was outside my workplace, standing on a side path, taking in my surroundings when I heard, "Are you waiting for someone?"

I flinched and turned to see Nisha looking at me with curiosity, "Haan?"

She asked again with furrowed brows, "Are you waiting for someone?"

I gave her a puzzled look, "No, I am not waiting for anyone."

She stared at me blankly for a few seconds before asking again, "You sure? Cause your eyes keep wandering as if they are looking for someone."

We stared at each other in silence, and I let out an awkward laugh, "Haha, I am not." And waved my hands in denial.

I wasn't looking for anyone, especially not a certain grey eyed man, whom I hadn't seen in two days. No, I wasn't. I was NOT.

I could tell by the look on her face that she was not satisfied with my response. God!! Why was she always so inquisitive?

"Then, what are you doing outside here, standing alone?"

That, I don't know. After my shift, I was going to the parking lot, but my feet drew me here in the hopes of- well...umm...nothing.

"Ohh, I'm just waiting for an auto." Yes, I must be waiting for an auto. That's why I came here.

"But you came in your car, right?" She gave me an awkward look.

Ohh. I did?

Again we exchanged silent looks for a brief moment before I nervously laughed again, and she laughed too, her brows furrowed.

I lightly tapped her arm, "Haha, for you darling, I am looking for an auto for you."

She wrinkled her nose at my response, "For me? What has gotten into you? You know na, my brother drops and picks me up."
