Akito tore down a flyer in town explaining how the five upper moons were dangerous. These posters wouldn't help at all. The Upper Moons could kill people even if the doors to their house were locked. The people in this town don't really look good...he thought. Akito Shinonome, or simply known as just Upper Moon 1, had a particular taste in people. The Upper Moons were the most dangerous demons aside from their leaders. Upper Moon 1, however, was a bit different. The main thing Akito never told anyone was how he still retained all of his memories from his human life. Something that his masters always told him was a weakness. He leaped down from the building he was sitting on and teleported from house to house, seeing if there would be anyone for him to eat. Part of his blood demon art included being able to teleport from place to place using his 'black holes'.

As he was teleporting from house to house, he found a newspaper that briefly caught his eye. He  picked up and flipped through some pages. On the cover page, there was an image showing the 10 Hashira. They all looked so weak... Akito read their names aloud to himself. One by one going down the whole list.

Ichika Hoshino

Shiho Hinomori

Minori Hanatso

Shizuku Hinomori

Kohane Azusawa

Toya Aoyagi

Tsukasa Tenma

Rui Kamishiro

Kanade Yoisaki

Mizuki Akiyama

He scoffed and threw the paper in the trash. The Hashira were not going to save them. Even the weakest amongst the Upper Moons can beat them. Besides, Honami is pretty strong. He thought. He then teleported back to the Infinity Castle. There was nothing interesting in that town anyway. He had no needs of staying there except for his own interest. Once he arrived, he noticed that every Upper Moon was kneeling down as if they were in a meeting.

"Am I interrupting something?" Akito asked after he got down into his kneeling position like the others.

"No, we're just going over standard weak points in a demon and how to overcome them. Now, please pay attention." Lady MEIKO said. She, Lord Len, and Lady Rin were the leaders of all Demons. The ones who created them all. All three of them were held in very high regard by the demons. If a certain amount of respect wasn't shown to them, they could kill you with a snap of their finger. Which was mainly why all the demons were so careful around them.

"Now, the first weakness of a demon is too much emotion in a fight. Once you start showing too much emotion, that shows the demon slayers how you're starting to give up. The second weakness of a demon is their memories. If you somehow still have your memories, come to us and we'll try to erase them. Do not try to hide having memories from us. We will know." Akito froze in his spot. Had they figured him out? And if they have, what were they going to do to him? Then, he remembered something crucial that he had forgotten. They can read every demon's mind. He held in his shock and continued to listen. The third weakness was obvious, losing your head. And the fourth weakness over and under estimating your opponent.

"You may all go now." Lady MEIKO said. Then, Akito felt someone talking to him in his mind. Akito. Please stay here. I would like to talk with you. He felt chills down his spine as MEIKO commanded him to stay. After everyone was gone, he could hear MEIKO, Len, and Rin's footsteps walk towards him.

"Rin, Len, you may go."

"But,"

"Leave at once."

"Yes ma'am." And the two walked away leaving only MEIKO and Akito alone. There was then a brief pause of silence.

"You know, Akito, you've always been a favorite of mine and Len's. So I feel a little shocked that you would be hiding such a secret from us." Akito froze in his spot again at hearing these words. Could she mean....he thought to himself.

"Yes that, that is exactly what I mean. You still have your memories from when you were a human, don't you?" She then sent a shockwave of painful energy into his body. Akito struggled in pain to not collapse on the floor, and when he didn't, MEIKO sent another shockwave through his body. "It seems like you need a punishment for hiding such a thing for so long. You could have told me earlier and nothing would have happened. This punishment will last a long time, so don't feel too painful yet."

MEIKO repeatedly sent shockwaves through Akito's body without a break for the next few days. "192....193...194....I'm not stopping until I get to 1,000, Akito." But even if she talked to him, he couldn't respond. His body was a frozen state due to all the shock. "989....990...991..." She then said a week later.  "Almost done, Akito~"

"999.....1,000" She laughed then started to walk away. "Take a rest, Akito. Now, it's time to actually erase your memories."

When Akito woke up, he couldn't feel any of his body parts. Ugh...H-how many was that? He thought. He felt weak. He couldn't move and he couldn't think clearly. Then, MEIKO teleported into the room again. "Awake again, I see? Well, good. I hope you can handle this new amount of blood!" She then pushed her finger through his forehead giving him a large amount of blood at once. "I hope you lose your memories this time." She left Akito wriggling on the ground, struggling to conquer the amount of blood she had given him. He screamed out in pain as he felt the blood trying to take control of his body. He tossed and turned on the ground for hours until he finally passed out. When he would wake up, he would lose his memories and he would be stronger. Well, that is, if  he woke up.
