*Narrator's POV*

Assisted by Chichiri's magical, mysterious powers, the Priestess of Suzaku was able to communicate with the imprisoned Tamahome, and they arranged for his return from Kutou, while the Celestial Guardian of Suzaku and Nuriko placed a necklace around each other's necks with a promise ring attached to the chains.

Nuriko promised that he will one day propose to the Lady Tsubasa when the time is right for them both in the future. Lady Tsubasa, after promising to her beloved that she will be truthful to him, had explained what the near future holds for the warriors, as well as what is to become of Tamahome and Miaka's fate when Miaka reunites with him in Kutou.

However, Nakago of the Seiryuu Seven executed a wicked plot designed to fraught their plans, and so, when Lady Miaka, along with Tsubasa, Chichiri, and Tasuki, showed up at the scheduled meeting place to wait for Tamahome, their wait was a long one.

Miaka frowned. "Yui..."

"Good to see you alive and...well...here, I suppose?" Tsubasa gave Yui a small smile.

Yui narrowed her eyes at Tsubasa. "You would know, Tsubasa. You've always known, haven't you?"

General Nakago appeared before them with a regiment of soldiers, as well as Lady Yui, the Priestess of Seiryuu.

*Tsubasa's POV*

"The legend of a girl from another world entirely; 'The Celestial Guardian of Suzaku', who dreamt of living in a world different from her own. That same girl was gifted with the power that each of the Seven Warriors of Suzaku possess, and must use her gifts given to her by Suzaku himself to help protect the warriors, as well as the Priestess. From your sudden appearance with Nozomi, how you interact with animals better than normal people do, and how you know exactly what is going to happen like some kind of psychic. It explains everything."

I froze in place after Yui had spoke those words. It's as if a knife had stabbed into my back, and I had no way of knowing how deep the wound is until I feel excruciating pain. Yui's words hit hard, but I couldn't correct her because she's not wrong.

Miaka frowned at Yui. "How can you say such a thing to her? She's our friend!"

Yui smirked. "It seems like such a long time, Miaka. You're looking well. Should you really be sticking up for Tsubasa when she hasn't told you the truth?"

"Truth about what?" Miaka looked at me in confusion. "What's she talking about?"

I turned to Miaka, giving her a small smile. "You know Nozomi and I are from another world, and how I know what's going to happen?" Miaka nodded. "And you know how much I love watching anime and stuff?"

Miaka raised a brow. "Yeah, but what does that have anything to do with the situation?"

I avoided eye contact with her and cleared my throat. "Uh, well...truth is...and please don't hate me for not telling you sooner, but you, and everyone else, are characters from an anime I was obsessed with back in my world."

"Seriously?!" Miaka screamed, making me cringe.

"Yeah..." I said slowly as I glanced at her. "Sorry I didn't mention it before. I couldn't just come right out and say it because once it's known, everything I've known about this world, the manga, anime...literally everything could change. I didn't mean to hurt you at all. I couldn't say or do anything in case the story ended up in the wrong direction. If I changed part of the storyline, there would be consequences."
