Chapter 17

In the afternoon,

Dinesh was coming to downstairs for talking with teju but his foot slipped and he started rolling down from the stairs. He screamed and blood were coming from his head.

All except karan came rushed towards  him listening his screams except karan as he was in office. All got fear seeing him like this. They took him to hospital.

'How is he, doctor?' teju asked. Tension was visible in her face.

'See his is now weak. Few days ago he got heart attack and now this. We are sorry but saying that he is alive with a lifeless body, ' doctor said with no expression

'What is your meaning?' teju asked

'I mean he is in coma,' doctor said shocking and breaking everyone

'Dad please open your eyes?' karan requested who just have come rushing listening his father's conditions

20 days passed like this. Karan, Teju and others came to visit him. Dinesh was still in Coma

'Don’t worry, karan. He will be fine soon,' Rajib said consoling him. Rajib remained silent sometimes then said,

'You know he was very excited thinking about your marriage with Prisha. I asked him what if you don’t agree. He said you never deny your father. He said he will be the happiest person if you got married. But fate played with us. I think you both should do atleast court marriage,' Rajib said keeping his hand on karan's shoulder. Karan looked at him with red eyes

'What the hell are you talking? Is it a time for these silly talks?' karan said gritting his teeth

'Language karan. He is elder than you. And he hasn’t said wrong. Your father is in this state. But It's your duty to complete his wish. I also think you should marry her and complete your Father's promise. Just a court marriage,' Karan mother said

'You all have gone mad. Okay I am saying where is the problem. I am in love and I will marry her only,' karan said giving a pressure in his voice

'Who is she?'

'Teju,' Karan said looking at his mother's eyes without any fear

'What?'

'Mom I love her and she loves me back. This is marriage, a big decision of life. If I marry Prisha then none of us three can be happy in our life,' Karan said  leaving from the room and found teju standing behind the doors who listened everything

'I have said everything teju,' karan said to teju

'But you shouldn’t have left like this. Aunty can take us wrong, ' teju said

'I don’t want to think about this anymore, ' karan said and went from there. He was disturbed by this marriage proposal then his father's accident
