Jake's POV:
As the clock handle strikes 12:45 he smiles.
"Break time!" he says as he stretches his arms. He steps outside of the shop and takes out his lunch. As he takes a bite of his sandwich, he finds a familiar figure sitting down and eating lunch.
They face each other and Jake's heart skips a beat.
It was his first customer.
Noah Mercer.
"Um. Hi. Didn't you order coffee from me?" He asks, smiling. "Yeah. I remember you." Noah says, smiling back as they both blush.
"Do you work near here?" Jake asks as he bites into his sandwich again.
"Yeah. I work right here actually." Noah says as he points to the sign reading 'Julie's Flowers'.
That's where Jake had seen the name before.
The next day, they meet again at break and the day after that. They start to form a friendship of some sort.
Eventually, they come out to each other and accept one another, staying friends.
But one day, everything changes.
(I know this chapter is very short but I'm kinda lazy)
