The blackswan had called upon alvar to assist them in a ravagog infiltration mission. His brother, Ritz cracker offered to bunk with him, but he obviously declined. Alvar hated his perfect little brother and his perfect big family. Especially those connected to the vacker legacy. He would choose keefe anyday over his vacker brother. Either way, he went to bunk for the night with keefe. That boy did know suffering. Alvar wanted keefe to join the neverseen. Keefe knew what it was to have irrealistic expectations of a family. He decided to talk to him,"hey Keefe. I am ready to give you a big secret. But I need you to promise you will not share it with anybody else." Keefe seemed to think for some time and then agreed. Alvar decided to tell hi, everything ," I am a part of the neverseen. And we are trying, to fix the councillors'mess." Keefe looked at alvar as if alvar had just told that humans and elves lived together on Saturn. So alvar decided to try something else. Something more personal. He told keefe ,"we know where your mom is." Alvar had chosen to use this wildcard , because he knew despite whoever a person's mother is, that person will always care for her. However alvar wasn't even sure who his mother was. It was very improbable that siblings end up with same abilities. And also there were rumors about alden having a fling with Alina. However, these rumors were quickly silenced. Cause it was about the vackers. Alvar also sympathized a bit with his sister because had a talent which wasn't given much worth . Same as him, biana had become a vanisher. Anyways, keefe did agree hesitantly. It was kinda obvious that keefe thought he could hit two targets with one arrow. Find out his mother's condition and also pull a jolie ruewen on the entire neverseen. But that was what the neverseen expected. Not his willing presence, only his presence. With that thought, alvar faked sleep. He wanted to see if keefe would do anything when he feels that alvar is out. However, keefe didn't do anything. He just slept as well. And with that observation , alvar really slept.
The next day, alvar was ready to play out his very elaborate  plan. He took the kids to ravagog. After entering ,he took a detour in the name of "checking if the course was clear" He found somebody in the familiar neverseen cloak. He was right on the river, hidden from sight by gadget aka Ethan's colour obscurers. These obscures brought camouflage to a whole new meaning. Alvar just told the elf two words,"get ready." Then he went on with the kids. Sometimes, he felt he was wrong, however alvar just refocused on the mission by thinking about his anger for the vackers. Suddenly, Sophie reached to him telepathically and said "me and Fitz are going to invade dimitar's mind." Alvar panicked. He knew that those two might succeed. In that case, his cover would be blown. So he tried to dissuade the moonlark from doing so. But she didn't budge. Finally alvar grudgingly agreed. He put all his faith into king dimitar's mental barrier, and continued leading the way. He was genuinely impressed when the hydrokinetic used mist to perfectly shield them and the shade, tam used his shadows to create a nearly invisible cloak. So, he mentally decided to try and recruit them in the near future. Another reason he didn't like sophie's plan was because like always she was ready for somebody else's sacrifice for her success. And this time she wanted keefe sencen to do the sacrifice. That naive girl had no idea about that boy's importance. He hoped that fintan hadn't done anything rash while announcing the gnomes plague cure. Because of their plan formulated, nobody except fintan had   attended the announcement. He didn't really agree with fintan's idea of disclosing the fact that he was still alive. Only the neverseen really knew the truth. Deep within, fintan hadn't wanted to kill Kenric. His main aim was to take down the moonlark. But alvar felt that fintan wanted to accomplish one main things with the public announcement, he wanted to instil fear into one and all. It had worked pretty well. He had been informed by haephus that the blackswan was in a state of panic because of the fact that fintan was alive. Anyways, they had reached the ogre king's palace. Now he had to wait and watch, hoping for the best. However he did hope the ogre king didn't kill the kids. The neverseen had plans for some of them
