"Master please put the rope away! You can't hang yourself!" Jade screamed as he tried to grab the alpha brother.

"Yes Master, Please don't do it." Amber recited monotone joining in on the show. Lucy nudged Amber under the table. "You shouldn't Master!" Lucy added passionately. "Only if my brother listens to me!" Eden said dramatically climbing onto the breakfast table. Llewyn rolled his eyes. Sometimes it was hard to believe that he was the younger brother.

Llewyn sighed. "If you're going to do it there's a tree outside, thought poison would be a lot less messier. I don't mind as long as I inherit your assets." He strode out of the house. "Also I'll be meeting my fiancé today."

Eden laughed getting off the table. Only around his brother did he act this childish. "Master, don't you think we're getting too old to do this?" Lucy asked clearing up the table with magic. "Nonsense Lucinda! What's more fun than teasing my younger brother?" He tied his chestnut hair back into a ponytail. "I don't think he cares anymore." Amber said helping Jade with the silverware.

"Ofcourse he doesn't care Am! Master's just doing this to lift the younger Master's spirits!" Jade exclaimed. "Thank you Jadeth." The beta smiled. Eden used their full names whenever he was being dramatic. "Though that doesn't excuse you from sneaking out last night to meet that painter. I know you spent your last wages buying him those materials for his birthday. You thought I didn't notice?" Amber snickered while Lucy held in her laugh. Jade pouted and started to protest. Lucy intervened before he could, "Master you were right, someone's been stealing from your collection." The three maidservants looked at their master seriously. He smiled stretching his arms upwards.

"Good, I think I already know who. I'll have to discuss this with the prince. If my suspicions are correct I know what they'll steal next. That's when we strike." Lucy, Amber and Jade nodded in unison. Eden Hawthorne might act crazy especially when it came to people close to him but when things got serious he was the last person to cross.

Llewyn felt the sunlight touch his skin as he walked through the garden. Although he didn't want to meet his betrothed, he had no choice. Since he didn't have a lover, there was no reason to break the engagement. Moreover this marriage was really important on many fronts. His fiancé, Princess Amelia was the prince's elder sister and an alpha. The royal family of Amaryllis sired four children. One of them died from poisoning and nobody knew the second child's identity. After that came Princess Amelia and Prince Basil. The latter one was declared the heir to throne and in charge of the court affairs.

It was a year ago when the agreement had been made. The Amaryllis kingdom and the Heliconia Kingdom were working on a peace treaty and settling the issue on border control. Half of the court advisors wanted to arrange a political marriage to strengthen the peace treaty. However the other half including his brother thought that the treaty was still disadvantageous for them. Moreover marrying off the princess was not the safest option.

The journey to the Heliconia kingdom involved going trough the treacherous forest of eternal snow. If the princess made the journey anything could happen to her on the way and without evidence their kingdom would be painted as the culprit in breaking the treaty which would eventually lead to either repercussions or war. Prince Basil wanted to avoid that route as much as possible.

But convincing the court was harder than it seemed so unless the princess was married to a family with equally enough political power she would be forced to comply. The Hawthornes were as powerful as the royal family and each branch of the family owned vast areas of land and great amounts of wealth. The reason Llewyn was chosen was because he was the only unmated omega of the Hawthorne family that grew up near the palace.
