A water droplet plopped onto a glass surface bringing with it a steady cadence that emanated in the black background. This scene was played on repeat in Llewyn's head. He felt isolated and conscious in an unconscious reality. He couldn't move nor speak but only feel. He could feel figures in the distance and one figure that seemed to stay with him at all times. They were taking shapes and forms in his subconscious but Llewyn couldn't react. He couldn't twitch a cheek muscle let alone call out or lift a finger.'Maybe I'm dead and this is the afterlife.' Llewyn thought to himself. Here he had all the time in the world to think and there wasn't anything he hated more because thoughts meant memories and memories meant emotions and emotions always led to him. Who was him? Llewyn couldn't quite remember. He assumed the figure with no shape or name must be him. It was crazy how he knew that when he didn't even know what or who that him was.
'But if I am thinking about him, he must be important to me.' Llewyn reasoned. Every time he thought about him however the ringing in his ears would increase and the water droplets would drip faster. He could see the drop. Colourless and formless when it hit the glass and altogether disappearing. 'It would have been better for there to be some colour here.' Llewyn complained, 'Maybe some green. But why green?' Llewyn questioned himself for the hundredth time.
Green. There was something about that colour that made Llewyn's heart clench with longing and want. 'But why?' Llewyn questioned again. He didn't have an answer. Atleast he hadn't had an answer before but when he saw a soft white light penetrating the black he remembered. 'Aiden.'
'Aiden' Llewyn repeated to himself as a mantra. The light slowly intensified until it was blinding.
"A-A..." Llewyn couldn't say anymore. His throat hurt like there were needles in them and his mouth felt dry like he hadn't drank water for days. "L-L-Llewyn, y-you're awake! Oh don't speak yet. You need water. Where's the water? I'm so happy-" The owner of the voice suddenly choked. Llewyn couldn't move his body nor his head. He couldn't see the person at all. But he didn't have to. He knew who it was.
Aiden gently sat Llewyn slightly up and slowly let the water enter his mouth though it only dripped down the soft white sheets. On seeing how Llewyn couldn't still quite open his mouth, Aiden drank the water himself and leaned over to take the other's lips in his. Llewyn could feel the water slide down his throat. Llewyn tried to speak again but Aiden held a hand to his mouth. "Just rest now. I know you want to know everything that happened and I will tell you."
Llewyn expectantly looked at Aiden. Although he had wanted to comfort Aiden first, he also did want to know what had happened.
"After you eat."
Llewyn pouted. If his hands didn't feel like ten swords hanging off of them he would have crossed his hands and sulked but seeing Aiden's worried face, Llewyn relented.
After eating, more like being spoon fed, Llewyn had regained his ability to speak and Aiden started to explain what had happened not before a little rebuking and scolding which was usually the omega's area of expertise."Do you know how long you were unconscious for? Two days. I don't know how you were drugged but Llewyn you should have been more careful! You knew the culprit could be anyone anywhere and the first thing you do is get yourself in danger?" Despite the anger in his voice, Aiden spoke tenderly so as not to startle his omega.
"You're not calling me sunshine anymore?" Llewyn batted his eyelashes innocently.
"What- no sunshine, that's not the point here L-"
"I wake up after two days and you start scolding me?"
"That's not it-" Suddenly Aiden's reddened eyes filled with tears. He tried to wipe them away in a hurry but that wasn't enough to stop the waterfall that followed. Llewyn panicked.
