She didn't know.
She was still clueless.
Clueless of the undying love she had for the man she fell for.

Seeing him for 5 days a week, for 8 years of her tender life.
And she still hadn't connected the dots.

3 years of not seeing him, she had now hit puberty.
And she still hadn't fit the last piece of the puzzle.

Then...

Like a tornado,
the 4th year of her eyes and heart deprived of his presence,
hit her hard.

In the form of sleepless nights and sparkly clouds of darkness,
the lines connected with the dots and,
like Cinderella's shoe,
the puzzle fit perfectly.

With just the thought of him,
her heart fluttered and its beats sped up into a beautiful melody.

With just the thought of him,
her veins buzzed with unbearable adrenaline.

With just the thought of him,
her stomach became home to countless flying butterflies which never seemed to stop their constant somersaults.

With just the thought of him,
her face brightened and lit up as her lips stretched out into a genuine smile

And she realised that...

When she first saw him,
she fell for him.

And he smiled,
because he knew.
