Family

His eyes darkened , he glared at Theo , but there was nothing but silence

my stomach twisted , why was he getting so defensive over me?
I thought while I looked up at Forbes , his sharp features and deep eyes made me lost in my senses
So much , I didn't realise there was someone approaching us

"Look who we have here"

I hear a woman say, wearing a black tight dress , she looks like she was in her late 30s, she approaches Forbes , breaking the eye contact both the men were having , she opened her arms as she puts them around Forbes , but he didn't hug back

"Great"

Forbes replied , almost sarcastically

"Why'd you bring her here"

She asked , as if I was an animal who belonged in a zoo

"She has a name"

He replied , anger filled in his tone

"Oh, alright let's hear it then"

She says , crossing her arms as if I'm a threat to her

"My na-"

"You can call her mrs Forbes for now"

Forbes interrupts , and I watch the colour drain from her face

"You-y-you got-"

"Married? Yes"

He replied, as he put his arm around my neck and pulled me in, kissing me gently on my cheek

"But she's not-"

"She is now"

He says, putting his hand on my stomach

What the hell....I'm not pregnant, not with his child at least

I wear the shock off my face when I realise he's just acting , but it bothered me to an extent

"And what about your father?"

Father....so she's his....mom?

"Talk to whoever you want, I'm married now and there's nothing anyone can fucking do about it"

She angrily marches off and I'm too caught up by the fact that I'm not pregnant but Forbes said I was , to care

I look up at him and whisper

"I-I'm not-"

"Yeah no shit I fucking know"

He says , and I'm relieved, but then I look back up

"What if I..."

"Don't test me right now I swear"
