Rae helps Seol wear her shoes while Jungkook took the opportunity to talk to her parents.
"Eomonim, Abeonim," Jungkook addresses them. "I think its obvious now. I wanna do the right thing at the right time. Your daughter is my one and only, I have never been able to love anyone except her. And she loves my daughter like her own. I wish to marry Rae. I have wanted to do it for so long now. But I had to wait, now it's time. I would love her and live with her until my last breath regardless of marriage. Now I think we need it. You can rest assured that I'll always treat your daughter right, because I have a daughter of my own and I would never like to treat a woman in a way I wouldn't like my daughter to be treated. Rae is our ray of light. Not just mine, she's Seol's everything too. That little girl lost all her color without her mother. It was very hard for me to see her like that. She loves her. I love her. And I'm going to marry her." He tells them. Announces, without even having an answer yet. He knows the answer's always been Yes.
Rae's parents had always liked Jungkook. Liked him much better than most of the guys she used to bring home in the past.
They've seen the happiness on Rae's face after Jungkook and Seol arrived. She changed in the matter of a moment upon seeing them. She loves them in a way she has never loved anyone before.
And they know, Rae and Jungkook love each other like they do each other. They love Seol like they love Rae.
It's been almost two years now. Two quick years that Jungkook and Rae have been together. Their relationship has bloomed into something so beautiful, that it's worth celebrating.
"Yeah so if you know about any investment or saving schemes do tell me," Jungkook speaks loudly so that it reaches Rae's ears. Pretending as if he's been talking about finances all this time.
Rae's smarter than he thinks. She knows he wasn't talking about that. She knows he was talking about her. Telling her parents how she helps him fix his mistakes. They don't even feel like mistakes anymore to him. It's the biggest joy of his life now. He feels glad that he made that mistake.
That one mistake changed the course of his life in all the best ways.
Yujin was a mistake.
But brought him Seol, brought Rae back to him and now his family had only been created because of that one huge mistake he made.
It's all so complex. The more he thinks, the more he realises new things.
He drives. Rae reads a book to Seol as she sits beside her on the backseat.
It was Seol's favorite activity. Rae didn't even knew why she bought new children's books.
The joy and excitement on Seol's face is magical when she looks at the brand new pictures in the books. She's also started to recognise a couple alphabets.
"What that?" Seol asks pointing at a picture.
"Oh that's a baby," Rae tells her. "Does Seol like baby? Did you see baby yesterday? Aunt Cara and Uncle Jimin have a baby."
"We got stuck in traffic. So she got sleepy and grumpy. And then Sam was sleepy and grumpy too. It wasn't an exactly cute scene," Jungkook tells her.
"Maybe she was also confused by the hospital environment? Let's go meet them at home sometime. After a few days though... Cara's having a hard time after the whole emergency c-section thing. They must have their space."
"I was curious too about how Seol would act around the baby," Jungkook says. Observes Rae's reaction. Cus he's still holding out hope that she'll try to have a baby with him.
That's one thing he just can't give up on. He doesn't says it aloud but he's made many sacrifices for Seol and after she came into his life.
Now that he has found that he does likes this thing called fatherhood, he already wants to make another mini human.
