Chapter 28 "Allow Me to Reintroduce Myself."

The Hyuuga compound was built like a traditional Japanese compound. There was 14 feet of wall that surrounded the perimeter of this estate, enthused by the guards that stood watch around the engraved gates.Upon entering through the front gates visitors would be welcomed by a large courtyard that contained very lush gardens and a koi pond, comparable in size to the Uzumaki's own.A courtyard had two large houses behind it and one was noticeably bigger than the other, while The branch house remained the smaller one to tradition.

Entering the Main house, those visiting would be greeted by a lavishly decorated sitting room that was adorned with artworks and very comfortable looking seats, with enough velvet and expensive leather to make even the Fire Damiyo jealous.

Currently, many of those plentiful seats were occupied by none other than those same Main branch members that called this place home.In traditional fashion, the only one who'd been standing was a person of exalted status, one that demanded the express attention of everyone who was on a lower standing than he in a figurative and literal sense.

Hiashi Hyūga was the man of the hour: stood infront of dozens upon dozens of those in his clan, both branch and main divisions present and under his command. Before him was a stone tablet reminiscent of a very old, ancient time prior to the clan's timeline.

Plenty raised eyebrows were made at the sight and the reasoning behind this entire thing, with those in attendance many moons shy of wizened having no idea of what this was. Those that did took up the majority of the first row and seemed to share that clueless sentiment, save for the clearly disproving ones of the elder members.

The man at the helm of it all cleared his throat then, extending a thin piece of wood to draw the rest's attention to the board behind the tablet.

"Long ago,the Hyūga's very first member planted this seed,a seed that grew into a tree of tradition that has been planted and grown, over and over again..." those that were aware of whom he spoke of nodded, where those that weren't were left puzzled until the man began writing across the surface.

"Hamura Ōtsutsuki was the sole source of these seeds that have become the Hyūga clan, but many still discount the popular legend of the Sage of Six Paths. This artifact is an epitaph, evidence of our past." Hiashi illustrated the history before them,Pale eyes turning back to the crowd and locking with the first individual he laid eyes on.

"Ikari." The branch member jumped, flinching as the very head of their clan spotlighted him to the rest of those present.

"What do you know of the Sage of Six Paths?" The young adult looked around meekly, sharpening his eyes as the painfully flat gazes of those with unsealed Byakugan listened to the recount of the sage's legend. In the end,the Sage of Six Paths was akin to that of a deity for those who chose the path of shinobi:A kids story for those that either simply didn't believe in it or had enough sense to know that one man could not be responsible for the cultivation of their very existence...Right?

Yet even as a heated debate began in the middle of the breakdown, judging from Hiashi's eternally stoic face he appeared to be right where he desired.

A ghost of a smile threatened to crack his facade, having all but fantasized about this moment for as long as these insufferable old wretches have appointed him clan head. His gaze absently wandered towards another in the front row,the only ivory haired individual in a sea of darker browns, blacks and even a midnight blue.

Indeed, they had been the one to finally connect the dots of the world ages before their own and for that, Hiashi had no reservations for what he was planning.
