PUSH-BUTTON HORSES

So... Apparently riding a push-button horse now implies that you're not a good rider. I would like to point out, I would rather ride a green, unfinished horse than a push button. I'm not sure about other discipline horses, but western push button horses are extremely specific. For example, I rode a horse Monday that is push button, and when my trainer asked me to make him pivot on his forehand, he started sidepassing. If you do not know where a horse's specific button is, they will do something other than what you intended. And in pleasure, you want a more spur-trained horse, because you should not be dependent on your hands at all.

But if someone tells you you ride a push button horse when you don't and they intend the comment to be derogatory, take pride in the fact that you can ride your horse precise enough to make it appear so well trained.
