Diluc's POV

After I left, I was going insane by thinking how in the hell was I going to find the shrine. Glad I was just overthinking, since the hole where the Traveller fell into, is big enough to not be left unnoticed in a forest.
I hesitate for a moment, a very eerie aura comes from here and what I don't like more, is the oddly warm air.

"Alright..... Here goes nothing." I say to myself jumping down and gliding as far as I can.

Thankfully to my Pyro, I have light and this place surely looks more than a tomb than a shrine. I know is very ancient and things are consumed by the course of time, but the way those statues are, I can say for sure someone moved and even tried to fix them.

"How long is this hallway!?" I curse under my breath, I have been running for a while now and I have no idea where the gates the Traveller talked about are. "A lady with a sword and scales should be easy enough to find-" I halt my step when I process that the light is not flame induced.... From here and on, there's a creepy crimson, pulsating light and now that I think about it, the temperature also increased.

I went from none to two leads before me, so even if foolish, I decide to follow both the light and the heat. Each step it gets hotter and brighter, until finally I see the massive gates that held a god caged. The sizes of those doors are not what shocks my core, but that little toothpick that holds them open. The same object radiates a burning heat that makes me sweat and the crimson light.... seems cursed.

"What in the holy world is that

"What in the holy world is that....?" I whisper, tempted to touch it. The spear itself is not thin, nor small, but these doors, once I'm right before them, are just huge. How can this hold them? What kind of material was used to craft it?

My heart jumps in my throat when the spear produces a noise similar to a strident screech, before bolting behind the dimensional portal, very similar to the ones we have in our domains. I run behind it, my claymore ready to swing, but it seems I ended up in a maze.... If it wasn't for the spear, I would have been lost in here forever.

"What....the....fuck...." I murmur lowering my sword at the end of the labyrinth. The sky is tainted with a shade of scary red, the air is heavy, intoxicated with blood, burnt flesh and I don't know what else. Ahead, the source of this hell; a mountain of corpses, high as the sky, challenging it like a blasphemy....

I lost sight of the spear, but I have to find Lady Y/n's servants. I pray to the Archons they're not in that pile of dead beings. I move wary of my surroundings. My inner bells are ringing like crazy to warn me about a lethal danger, although I see none. In this crimson hell, I spot something blue, a feather to be precise. And it happens I recognize it right away. "Arius!" I shout rushing to his side.

He's laid against a rock, his clothes are drenched with blood, although upon closer inspection is not his, gladly. At least, not all of it. He has multiple cuts and bruises, not severe but the dark veins that travels from his arm to the rest of his body is not good. Especially when he seems on the verge of death.
