Eunji had changed her decision last minute. Instead of speeding to the hospital, she got to Yeonjun's house. She wanted to apologise to Yeonjun for the vase on his head thing. She parked the car and ran up to his apartment. She turned the knob to discover it was already open and went through the door only to have duck because she almost received a ball to her head.
"Yeonjun!" She screamed.
"Oh my- Eunji it's just you." He sighed.
"Aren't you going to apologise?" She asked.
"Did you after hitting me on the head?" He asked.
"That's actually what I came to do. I want to say sorry." Eunji said as she got closer to Yeonjun.
"I guess it's alright. Although you did cause me to get this bandage." Yeonjun said pointing to his head.
"I know. I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to, it just happened." Eunji said as she put her arms around his neck. He then put his arms around her waist and the two hugged.
"I'm going to turn on the TV, meanwhile can you cut the apples?" Yeonjun asked her.
"Sure thing." Eunji said as she made her way to the counter. She picked the knife and began staring at it, smiling just a bit. Yeonjun turned on the TV and sat in the sofa. After not hearing anything, he turned to Eunji and caught her staring at the knife.
"Eunji?" He asked, and that startled her. She jabbed the knife into the apple as a reflex and looked at Yeonjun innocently.
"Yeah?" She asked.
"Is everything alright?" He asked.
"Yeah I'm fine." She said as she picked up the now damaged apple and tried to save it by cutting it into smaller pieces. She grabbed two forks and brought them over to the coffee table in the living room.
"I just heard about some crime documentaries being released. Do you want to watch them?" Yeonjun asked.
"Uh yeah! Love watching them." Eunji said as she sat on the sofa. Yeonjun turned the television as he turned on Netflix.
"Hey, this one seems good." Eunji said pointing to a murder documentary.
"Life in Lies: The Han Minseo Documentary." Yeonjun read.
"Oh wow, he shares my last name!" Eunji said and smiled, and Yeonjun turned to her with a weirded look. Yeah, he himself was involved with murders, but he didn't do anything. The others left still felt disgusted by the murders, even though they were the ones who had committed them. The smell and feel of blood and flesh still horrified everyone else. Yeah, they had no remorse for the person, but it left them all traumatised. Yeonjun turned his attention to the screen as he pressed play.
"Today, one of our journalists will be interviewing Han Minseo, the famous midnight killer who claimed the lives of 45 people." The camera then cut to a man in chains.
"So, mister Han. What was it like?" The interviewer asked.
"Fun I would say. No remorse, and it hasn't left me traumatised." The killer said.
"Cool!" Eunji said, stuffing her face with apples.
"Here is one of your victims, what do you have to say about him?" The interviewer asked as a picture of a young guy was shown.
"Nothing much, I don't even remember who I killed. I just killed them for the fun of it." Minseo said.
"The victim is ugly. Glad he died. Minseo is so handsome, I wish I could've dated him." Eunji said, blushing hard and smiling sheepishly.
"Areum gross!" Yeonjun said but the girl kept staring at the screen. A while later, she fell asleep, so Yeonjun took her to his room and tucked her in. A few days later, in the morning, the friends planned to visit Haewon in the hospital. Eunji, Lily, Yeonjun, Jay and Heeseung poured into her room.
"Hey you guys!" Haewon said. She had had some therapy, but her movement was limited.
"Hey Youngie!" Eunji said as she hugged Haewon. But from the side, Heeseung was watching her, tracking her every move. Ever since the first day where she had first shown her anger, he wanted her to be careful around Haewon.
"How are you feeling?" Lily asked.
"Much better, although that's only in those parts where I can feel." Haewon said and giggled. Yeonjun, Jay and Lily were sat in chairs, Eunji was stood next to Haewon's bedside, and Heeseung stood in front of her.
"How's life for you guys? Anything new?" Haewon asked.
"Yeah, currently, everyone is in mourning-" Jay was cut off as suddenly a child ran into their room.
"Does someone have candy?" He asked cutely.
"No kid." Eunji said, annoyed.
"Awhh, well any toys?" The boy asked cutely again.
"NO!" Eunji screamed as she grabbed him by the collar and smacked him into the wall.
"I dare that you tell anyone I hit you. I'll rip your head off if you do." She said as the kid began crying.
"S-sure!" He spoke.
"Shut up and leave!" Eunji screamed, and the kid ran off.
"Areum what?" Jay said.
"What do you mean?" She blinked innocently at the group.
"Why did you hit that kid?" Haewon asked.
"He was being annoying." Eunji rolled eyes.
"But- I mean- whatever." Yeonjun said.
"Anyways, people are still in mourning. And everyone misses you Hwayoung." Heeseung said. They continued talking for a bit, and that's when Eunji burst out laughing.
"Oh my- what happened?" Jay asked.
"Nothing, just imagined Heeseung's dead body on the floor." She was slightly smiling.
"What is wrong with you?" Haewon asked.
"What do you mean?" Eunji asked back.
"Why are you acting like this Areum?" Heeseung asked.
"I'm acting like what?" Eunji asked again.
"You scared the poor kid, and then suddenly imagined my boyfriend dead and began laughing about it. This isn't right Reumie" Haewon said.
"I'm fine Princess Perfect! But of course, you are going to act super concerned about me, all those crocodile tears, save it Hwayoung." Eunji said. She grabbed her car keys and went to the basement. She had a knife in her car in case of emergencies. She picked it up, and then stared at it for a bit. She then jammed the knife into the wrist of her left hand, but didn't scream in pain. She just stared at it as her blood began flowing down her arm, and then she began smiling at it.
"Something's wrong with me." Eunji said to herself. She then put her head down on the steering wheel, and began laughing crazily.
"I'm going mad, aren't I?" She kept laughing as she asked herself the same question over and over again.
