"Someone broke into her room! They disconnected her wires and slashed her throat." Jay said.
"It must have been Areum!" Lily said.
"No, she left a while ago after visiting. Hwayoung was fine then. We were with her the whole time and no one entered or exited. We just went to the bathroom for a minute. But no visitors for her were logged in." Heeseung said.
"Then it has to have been a nurse or someone." Yeonjun said.
"Could have been. We need to find out who did this and fast." Jay said.
"Also we found something out about Areum." Lily said.
"What?!" Heeseung asked. He had been suspicious.
"She has schizophrenia." Yeonjun said.
"Wait that mental issue?" Jay asked.
"Yes." Yeonjun said.
"Has it become worse?" Heeseung asked worriedly.
"Yes, and apparently she's had it since she was 14." Lily said.
"Oh my god!" Jay said.
"This is terrible, no wonder she's been acting weird!" Heeseung said.
"I want our Areum back." Lily said, and now she was crying.
"Her accident must have made it worse." Heeseung said.
Flashback- Day of Eunji's accident
Eunji POV
I had to reach home soon. My parents had called me telling me Hwayoung ws with them, and she wanted to talk to me. So I hopped into my car, heading back from a friend's. Why is it always Hwayoung? I was lost in thought. As I was driving, I saw a driver speeding really fast. And suddenly I my hand swerved in his way, probably because I was thinking. I couldn't control. And that caused us to crash. The driver speeding was almost unharmed, but I had to take the most impact. I laid there almost dead. I heard screams everywhere, and I couldn't feel anything, only blood. Someone got my phone and unlocked it as they dialled my parents. Soon they came, and Hwayoung was with them.
"Areum!" She tried to come closer, but was cut by a piece of shrapnel.
"Hwayoung! Sweetie take care." Mom said.
"M-Mom!" I tried calling.
"Shut up! Can't you see your sister has been injured?!" Mom said. And that's when I blacked out. A while later, I woke up in the hospital, I had blood drips, and I bandages everywhere.
"W-Where- Parents- Need." I could manage only this much, and couldn't form a sentence.
"They didn't show. They said they had more important things to attend to. They then said they would be with your sister in emergency." The nurse said. That hurt. Hwayoung wasn't hurt that bad either. I was here, almost dead.
"Well, how long do I have to stay?" I asked, the nurse hesitated then spoke.
"Well, depends. Your parents don't want to pay for your medical need. And you don't have insurance under your name either." She said.
"But-No-Survive." I don't understand why my sentences are breaking.
"We're trying to convince them, but they seem to really not want to." The nurse said. I just sighed. That's when Hwayoung and my parents came in.
"Areum." She said and hugged me. I forcefully hugged her back.
"Mom, dad, why won't you pay for my hospital fees?" I asked.
"If it was Hwayoung, we would have. Poor thing has to go through so much. But you, you can recover yourself. Why waste money on you when we have this poor girl to spend on?" Dad said, and that broke my heart.
"Auntie, uncle, please. She needs to live for me. I love her. Please." She said and I looked at her.
"I love you so much." I said, she smiled at me and hugged me. Still my parents refused. After a long time, and so much persuasion, they gave in. But even then, they didn't stay, nor did they visit. I cried everyday, and so the nurses helped me. They talked to me and became my best friends.
End Flashback
"Well then who did it?" Lily asked, but then...
"FIRE!" Someone yelled.
"Fire?!" The four yelled together. They saw as everyone began to run around in panic. People spread everywhere. But they saw one person, completely still. She was standing there, smirking. That person... was Eunji.
"Oh my- she started this." They were staring at her through the huge crowd of people. She just smirked and stood staring right back at them. She walked over to them.
"I killed her." She said psychotically. Her eyes were not feeling, they had pure evil down them. That's when some security came and carried her out, she was still smirking. The other four tried to find exits, but the smoke inhalation made them choke. That's when the fire caught upto them. The four burned down. And then... they died.
That was that. Eunji was taken to a mental health facility.
"Miss Lee, do you know why you're here?" The doctor asked.
"I burned down a hospital. Blah blah, yada yada." She said.
"Your act took the lives of hundreds of people. Do you realise the gravity of the situation?" The doctor asked.
"I got rid of the people I hated. It was a win for me." She said, sucking on a lollipop.
"Well, you have been prescribed five years in a mental asylum. Let's see your progress after that." The doctor said and Eunji just rolled her eyes.
Forward- 5 Years Later
Today is the day Eunji was let out. She had pretended to get better, but she was the same old crazy Eunji. The people in the asylum were all scared of her. But for Eunji, she became socially detached from the feelings for her friends, but she didn't hate anyone else. She began to get along well with the others in her college. After hearing of what had happened, they became supportive towards her mental condition, and knowing that there wasn't a way to fully cure it, they decided to help her get better. It had been two years since the murders and the incident, so Eunji visited the graves of her friends. And in the graves of each of her friends, she left black roses. She didn't care, she still hated them. But now, she was relieved. She was happy, but most of all, she was free.
Eunji alone has made it out alive. She is the winner of this game. She's the Whodunnit.
