A few days had passed since the night on the rooftop and Jaune started hanging out with Cardin a lot. (YN) knew Cardin heard about Jaune's secret, and deep down, he wanted to help Jaune, but he couldn't. But if he did, it might just make things worse. All he can do is do nothing and have faith in him to deal with this.
Currently, it was a peaceful night as the students were already in bed, because tomorrow, the first year students are going on a big field trip to the Forest of Forever Fall. Inside Team JNPR's room, Pyrrha was staring out the window with a sad expression on her face while Nora jump up and down her bed as Ren was loading and cleaning his bladed machine pistols.

Nora: "How come Jaune gets home so late?" She wondered.
Ren: "He's become rather scarce since he started fraternizing with Cardin." He explained, finishing the touches on his pistols.
Nora: "That's weird..." She commented. "Doesn't he know we have a field trip tomorrow? We need our rest!" She proclaimed, twirling in midair so her back hits the covers.
Pyrrha: "I'm sure our leader knows EXACTLY what he's doing." She remarked angrily, still staring at the window.
Nora: "Mmmm..." She and Ren exchange glances. "I guess so." She agreed, reluctantly.

However, they didn't know Jaune was right outside the door, listening while looking through the crack of the door and hanged his head. He softly closed the door and felt ashamed.
Ruby: "Hey, Jaune!" She greeted Jaune, causing him to startle and turned around to see her and (YN) in their pajamas, and she giggled at his reaction. "Long time, no see! Did you lock yourself out again?"
Jaune: "Oh, uh, nope!" He raised his Scroll, attempting to laugh. "Got it!"
Ruby: "So! Where have you been lately?" She asked.
