Alternate expression for Hae in chapter A Woman Who Wants For Nothing in Chasing Liberty. I feel like the first one better captures what I was going for- mostly concern with a bit of shrewdness. But I do like the even mix of judgemental and shrewd in the second.
Had another Kim Il-sung dream. I was working in some sort of small two room office in the town I grew up in, and he was my boss. I came into the place to change my shoes before I left, and he offered to make me tea. I didn't want to bother him, so I turned him down and went home. CURSE YOU DREAM ME. But also, very in character of me not to want to cause someone hassle. He was radiating such a warm, fatherly vibe. Apparently my subconscious really wants Kim Il-sung to have a small job in rural Japan.
