As I stood on the grand staircase, shivers running down my spine, my father's voice echoed through the mansion like thunder. "WHAT ELSE WOULD BE EXPECTED?" His words reverberated off the walls, sending the guards scrambling in a frenzy. "I pay you fools to keep this place secure!" he bellowed, his anger palpable in the air.

The guards, clearly intimidated by his fury, stammered excuses, trying to appease him. "We're sorry, sir! We'll double our efforts!" one of them pleaded, sweat dripping down his forehead.

But my father wasn't having any of it. "Double your efforts? You couldn't keep a mouse out of a cheese factory!" he roared, his face contorted with rage.

I swallowed hard, feeling a knot form in my stomach. This was my  first time I witnessed my father's temper. The hooded figure lurking in the shadows outside had unnerved me, and now, facing my father's wrath, I couldn't shake the feeling of dread.

"I don't want to step inside alone inside our so-called home," I whispered to myself, the words barely audible over the commotion. But as the guards scrambled to placate my father, I knew I had no choice. With a trembling hand, I reached for the door handle, steeling myself for whatever lay beyond.

I couldn't help but wonder why the guards had allowed that "bitch" to enter our car. The tension was thick enough to cut with a knife, and even the chill in the air couldn't compete with the icy atmosphere inside the mansion.

My body trembled with a combination of cold and fear, but I dared not interrupt his tirade. I stole a glance back, only to find my father's steely gaze locked onto mine. His approach was deliberate, each step heavy with the weight of his fury.

Alone in his presence, I felt small and vulnerable, until his towering figure was right beside me.
"I'm sorry, princess, let's go," his words, though short, carried a hint of remorse, reminding me of the love buried beneath his anger.

With a heavy sigh, I braced myself and took a hesitant step forward, the marble floors cold beneath my feet. The main hall loomed ahead, shadows dancing ominously in the dim light. Ignoring the stares of the few remaining staff, I made a beeline for my room, my father's footsteps echoing behind me.

This time, however, he didn't leave me to the mercy of the maids. Instead, he followed me, his presence both comforting and suffocating. As he closed the door behind us, the click of the latch sent a shiver down my spine.

"Listen, Daisy," his voice was firm, commanding attention. Drawing the heavy curtains closed, he turned to face me, his expression unreadable in the dim light.

" I'm sorry for I won't be there with you every time but you own need to be strong. Be brave daisy. Lots of eyes are on you and I'm certain many of them can take actions to have you . And I don't want that. Years after I finally got my daughter and I promise I won't let anyone take you, unless and until I would accept or you would" My heart sank on his words when he said you would. I mean it's the reality yet painful. That someday I'll be gone and he won't be seeing me as he used to.

My father's eyes softened with understanding, a flicker of concern dancing behind his gaze. "I know, Daisy. I know," he murmured, his voice laced with empathy. "But you have to trust me. I'll always protect you, no matter what."

" Dad I understand. I was just kind of scared because he randomly got in and had keys of the car so yeah " I crossed my arms leaning over the door.

His words were a balm to my troubled soul, and I found myself drawn into his comforting embrace. "You'll be safe in my arms, princess," he reassured me.

" It indeed is scary and I know bout the creeps the way they turned their heads stealing glances everytime my eyes would drift somwhere else. I understand how much you care for me . I appreciate as for you are my father. But don't worry bout me okay. Plus I trust you " I approached towards him having a seat beside to let me feel secure.
