Friends? Or lovers?

Pt.67 time capsule

As we walked I tapped Katrinas shoulder

"Uh Katrina could you not tell Benny about me moving?" She nods not asking any questions

"Hey ms Rodriguez" a woman at the front desk greets Katrina kindly

"Hey linda I'd like you to meet y/n" she gestures to me and I smile and wave kindly

"oh I see you brought someone new, well Kacy is about to finish a class up and in about five or so minutes you can see her" the lady at the front desk says kindly

"Ok well wait over there" Katrina responds

The lady stops us "uh hunny are you planning on bringing that box in?" I nod

"Ok can I inspect it?" I give a confused look

"We have to make sure that there isn't anything people could you to cause harm on themselves" i nod handing the box to her

Me and Katrina sit down and after a few minutes we're allowed to see Kacy

The lady hands me my box back and we head to kacys room

"Go fish" I hear a familiar voice say

"Kacy" I see a head shoot up

"Mom.. oh! Y/n!!" She runs hugging me tughtly

"Hey Kacy! Look what I found" I say in a sing dingy tone

"What is it?" She gives a puzzled glance at the box

"A time capsule we made when we were ten" she squels

She then drags me to her bed and we sit

I open the box and dump its contents onto the bed

"Ok ok I guess someone was organized because they wrote a list of who put what in" I lift a page

We both had put in two letters so we grabbed those

Then we had put in a friendship necklace that had two parts making a heart

There was also a memory chip for a video camera

I was smart and put $3 dollars

We also had a few photos and other trinkets scattered

We started reading our letter one at a time out loud

They were mostly saying what famous person we thought we would marry or what our favourite food was

There were a lot of little inside jokes hidden throughout the box

We soon found each of us uncontrollably laughing after reading our letters and notes written to our future selves

We looked through the photos and continued laughing

I hadn't realized how much I missed being around Kacy

I felt lighter and like I was truly happy I guess I didn't feel that when I hung out with boys all the time

It felt like life was finally normal again until the horrible thought came back

Im leaving

I had completely forgotten about telling Kacy since we had been having so much funny gossiping and joking around like we did just two months ago

"Ok ok now I actually have something serious to talk about!" I say still laughing

"Elvis my husband is a very serious topic!" Kacy says offended

"Okay whoo" I take a deep breath

" uhm on now your not going to like this but I'm moving" her jaw drops
