The next day arrived shorter than Cady had preferred it to. The night before she was almost dreading that today would come. It wasn't like she didn't want to tutor Regina, she's done it before. She was just dreading the inevitable outcome of it all. Would they still be friends after today? Will Regina ask her for another tutor session? Will Cadys hands stop sweating so much?

A million thoughts rushed through her head until the lunch bell woke her up from her own mind. Cady gathers her stuff and walks out the classroom. There, she is greeted by Gretchen and Janis, they share the class across from Cadys.

"Hey, Caddy, how's it doing?" Janis asks. She picks up Cady's textbooks from her hands that she always refuses to put in her own bag. Cady doesn't like them in there, something about the feeling of her textbooks in her bag gives her an "ick" of some sorts.

"Going badly. That's all I can say for now." Janis and Gretchen just look at each other in a slight concern.

The three turn to the cafeteria where they see Karen and Damian already at their usual table. The three make their way over and sit down together at their usual spots, Cady in between Damian and Janis and Karen and Gretchen next to each other on the opposing side.

It took some adjusting having everyone become friends, let alone sit at a lunch table together. But eventually it all worked out. They all found common interests within each other and were able to bond with that. Gretchen and Damian love to talk fashion with each other and Karen always gushes about how good Janis' art is and telling her how she just loves to decorate cakes as her form of art. Similarly, Gretchen and Janis love to gossip with each other and Damian and Karen love to just talk about anything and everything their mind comes up with. Cady is happy knowing that her friends are getting along.

When they sit down, Cady is quiet. It's not unusual for her to be quiet but today it's exceptionally quiet for her. Gretchen and Janis don't press on it and Damian, by context clues, doesn't ask either. But of course Karen is the one to break the silence.

"Cady-Cat, why are you so quiet today?" Karen asks, using her nickname for the girl.

"Karen, honey, I don't think Cady wants to talk about it." Gretchen says while holding Karens hand over the table. They swear that they're not together (Gretchen mostly swears it) but they're definitely not just friends.

"No, it's okay, you guys will find out eventually," Cady fidgets a bit with the drawstring of her jacket before blurting out,"I'm tutoring Regina after school!"

The table falls silent and they all look at each other before they all start talking at over each other.

"Caddy are you serious right now?"

"Girl I swear to god..."

"No No No No, Bad Bad No."

"Regina? Really?"

"Hey! Can everyone stop talking over each other my head's already hurting." Everyone stops talking for a bit. Karen, once again, breaks the silence.

"Are you doing this against your will?" Karen asks, everyone just looks at her while Gretchen just murmurs a,"Honey, no..."

"No, I'm not... but something just attracted me to the idea, I don't know why." Cady trails off, her face going red from embarrassment.

"More like someone attracted you. I mean look at yourself, you're practically drooling at the thought of Regina George." Gretchen playfully hit Janis' arm that was supporting her head on the table. She pretends to feel hurt,"Hey, what did I do?"

"What Janis means to ask you, Cady, is did Regina force you in to doing this?" Damian asks the girl. Cady is silent for a moment before nodding a no.

"She didn't, I just volunteered. I don't know why, okay, so can we all stop interrogating me, please?" Cady just pulls her hoodie up and flops her head on the table, not wanting anyone else to talk to her.
