Multiplication: Part 3

"It's been weeks since Monarch has last attacked Paris, could this mean he's no longer a threat?" Nadja's report played in the background while, Ladybug, Chat Noir, and I played Rummy.

"You've gotten pretty good at Rummy M'lady but still not as good as me," Chat lightly teases placing his cards down.

"We'll see about that kitty cat."

"He doesn't have much room to talk, I'm pretty much on his hind paws," I chuckle, playing my turn.

"Do you think we're rid of Monarch?"

"No, that'd be too easy. He has to be planning something."

"There's still no news about Félix either it's so weird."

We finish our game and I head out to go meet with Luka, I find him waiting for me at the bridge like always and we start talking, the topic being the love mess between Ladybug and Chat Noir.

"I'm telling you they are more ridiculous than you realize, you've only seen half of their denseness and the shenanigans they pull, as civilians and heroes, consider yourself lucky," I say, head resting on his lap.

"I think I have a pretty good idea."

"Oh yeah? You haven't seen what they do during patrols."

"Don't you guys just look around for trouble?"

"That's what we were supposed to do but it always turns into something ridiculous, especially in the early days like this one time it was a quiet night and Ladybug had gotten distracted by the latest Adrien ad at the time, Chat Noir had the bright idea that if he cooked Ladybug a romantic dinner she'd fall for him. I watched him set up a nice table with candles and everything, and cook pasta for her. In his excitement though he threw the scalding hot pot with the past still in it and caught it before tossing it again because hot pot. With my powers, I caught the pot but the spaghetti landed on Chat causing him to run around smacking into everything and sit on the stove he was using which was still on, and in his pain crashed into the table, all the while Ladybug doesn't notice a thing until after I grabbed his tail to prevent him from crashing into her. All he could do was give her an awkward smile as she took off."

"W-W-What?!" Luka stuttered as he laughed out loud at the chaotic scene pictured in his head.

"Yeah, it only gets more ridiculous."

I explain a few more events that only we knew of, like the catnip fragrance incident when Adrien the fragrance had been released. Ladybug was fawning over it in a magazine, giving Chat the idea if he wore it she'd fall madly in love with him. He put too much on through, both of us could barely stand him, and apparently wearing too much Adrien the Fragrance attracts cats and a lot of them, he was running all over the city being chased by cats with me laughing at him. When we finally went to help him we found to get the cats to leave him alone he had to jump into some dumpsters, making him smell even more unbearable and causing Ladybug to throw him into the Seine River.

There was also the time he tried to ask her to the movies after an akumatization but he had lost the tickets because he had startled Ladybug so I got to watch him chase after them just barely out of reach because of pigeons and the wind. Confused Ladybug tried to help Chat but he wouldn't let her, eventually using his staff to catch the tickets but in his anger accidentally punched holes through the tickets, making them useless.

Back when he learned Ladybug had feelings for someone else he caught her writing a love letter for her crush and let his curiosity take over, spending the whole day trying to snag the love letter away from her, getting stuck in a vase I had to help him out of, using a fishing rod to try and steal the letter, only catching an angry cat, and using a rope to swing by her and steal it. That one I intervened with because he had no right to read her letter, causing him to slam into an Adrien poster. Deciding it wasn't worth the trouble, Ladybug destroyed the love letter so Chat couldn't read it.
