"...Why is everyone looking at us?" Y/n whispered to her purple-haired brother as they walked through the halls of U.A. Eyes traveled where the siblings went, and whispers quickly followed in their wake. The girl did her best to drown them out.

"They aren't staring at us," Hitoshi started, "They're staring at you. You were on national news during the Hosu situation, I don't think there was a screen in the country that wasn't tuned to the fight."

Oh right. That... The consequences of my own actions, I suppose. "Maybe they should all mind their own business." She grumbled, letting the loose hair from her braid create a shield between herself and everyone else.

"I know it sucks right now, but it'll go away, they'll find something else to gossip about by Thursday." The purple-haired boy sighed, "I'll see you later. Just remember to breathe and try to ignore them, okay?"

Y/n nodded and gave her brother a side hug before he wandered into his classroom. Great. Alone. Just what everyone wants when the whole school is currently talking about you when you walk past.

She wasn't stupid, nor could she drown out her fellow students even if she wanted to. Y/n heard what they were saying, heard the vitriol and envy and even fear in their voices as she walked past.

"She's the girl from the news... kinda scary that she just broke the law without a second thought..."

"Isn't she in 1-A? That class is full of show-offs. Typical hero course students."

"I mean, she did save people... don't you think she was kinda cool for that?"

"If you think being an attention whore is cool, then yeah totally!"

Y/n held back a growl as she turned the hallway, she was almost to her classroom. She'd be safe with her classmates and friends... hopefully.

Familiar laughter filled her ears as she approached the large 1-A door, the girl smiled to herself. Kirishima and Sero.

"HAHA, WHAT THE CRAP BAKUGOU!" Both of her friends were in tears with laughter. Finally entering the room, Y/n saw why they were laughing so hard. The ash blonde's hair was still in the gelled-down style that Best Jeanist

"Stop. Laughing." Bakugou was shaking with anger, his face contorted with rage. "My fucking hair has gotten used to this. I can't get it back to the way it was. Stop laughing, or I'll kill you both!"

That only made the boys laugh harder as Sero said, "I'd like to see you try, pretty boy!"

"WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME?!" And just like that, his hair sprang back to its usual, spikey glory. That only made Sero and Kiri laugh harder.

Y/n silently laughed to herself and fully entered the classroom. She did her best to remain unnoticed as she walked to her desk, after everything that happened this past week... it was just better this way. Staying out of everyone's way, going unnoticed. That was better, familiar.

Besides, it seemed like everyone was preoccupied with gushing (or complaining) about their internships– Uraraka was totally zoned in, like she could only think about fighting. Oddly enough, watching her, Y/n felt a small feeling of nostalgia. She remembered being that type of dedicated to her training, back when she thought doing as good as she could possibly manage would make the pain subside. It never did.

Kaminari's voice caught her attention, "...If you wanna talk about the ones who really changed, it's those four!" And just like that, Y/n felt the attention shift to herself and the three boys crowded around Midoriya's desk.
