"What else do you think you need?" Ja asked while I stuffed my bag with my folded clothes.
"I dunno, what do I need?" I also asked myself.
I had all my hygiene products packed and I had my undergarments packed.
"I think I got everything." I finally said.
"Ight whatever you don't have, you know I'll get?" He said making me blush. See he is always taking care of me like I don't even have to ask. Ja always got me.
"Yeah."
"Ight mama, I'll see you Friday. I love you." Ja says making my heart melt.

I had shut my MacBook when we both hung up.
"You leaving again?" My mother startled me, she stood in the doorway of my room smoking a cigarette.
"Yes, mama," I replied trying not to sound rude.
I hated it when she asked me dumb questions.

"I hope you have been taking that birth control cause don't nobody has time for babies." She said blowing smoke from her mouth.
"You and that boy using protection?"
"Why would use protection if I'm on the shot?" I said smartly.
"Chi don't get smart with me. Where did you even meet this boy? It's like you're never at home anymore."
"At the fair. Why do you care so much?" She was starting to get on my nerves asking me all these questions like she cared. It was annoying the hell outta me.
"Because you're my daughter. Wassup with that nasty attitude of yours? You may be legal but you're still a minor and you shouldn't be seeing that grown-ass man."
