Iris POV
I'm breathing so hard that I think my heart might explode. I hear footsteps down in the living room and I know that the house has been broken into, Barry's sitting very still holding my hand and listening for sign of anyone moving back up the stairs. when nothing happens he slowly gets up out of bed and creeps down the corridor to the top of the stairs, with me hot on his heels. I begin to think that nothing is going to happen when a gunshot startles me and Barry races out of the way pulling me with him. But that's when my worst fear becomes a reality
The burglar was a meta human and just like that was gone . My dad comes running down the stairs and sees me under Barry with very flushed cheeks. Barry looks closely at me and asks me with one shuddering breath "are you okay"
"Yeah" I answer and help him up. my dad takes a long look at me and then back at the living room. Nothing had been touched which was odd in a burglary but oh well. We all knew only one thing, whatever they were after. It wasn't here which scared us even more !!!
