I was too stunned to move, far too astounded to take a look at the audiences' cheer as they gave Minjeong a huge applause, making space for her to walk up the stairs towards the stage.

I slowly looked up at the new badge hanging onto her uniform, complementing the pure chuckle she had on her face as she bowed several times and took a photo with Sunghoon and Yeri.

I glanced at Yeri's direction, noticing how she was smiling both excitedly and nervously at the same time as she hugged Minjeong lovingly while taking a glance at me from the side.

"Jay, I'm counting on you too!!"

Silence soon came sweeping up the hall as Sunghoon plastered a bright smile on his face while calming down the students, trying his best to continue his speech.

I'm actually scared.

There came a wave of pin drop silence in the crowd as I took a peek at the audiences, realising how they all reacted the same way, all nervous to listen to the name of the last winner of the day.

"Jay!! My guy, it's definitely gonna be you!"

"Way to go, Park!!"

A small chuckle replaced my nervous expression as I looked at the audiences, all calling for my name in synchronisation.

I let out a smirk as the excitement grew in each and every one of them, all staring at Sunghoon, forcing him to announce the last winner as he sighed and chuckled while shaking his head.

"In third grade,

We have..."

Screw this sh*t, really.

"Jay Park from class three."

"Ohh, congratulations, Jay Park,"

I looked behind me and smiled, noticing how she walked towards me while showing me her brightest chuckle.

"What took you so long?" I questioned and motioned her to stand next to me on the balcony.

"Preparing this gift for you, of course," She smiled warmly and handed me a tiny box with a huge crimson ribbon tied onto it.

"Congratulations on becoming a student council member!!" She cheered joyfully and gave me a warm hug, while signalling me to open the gift.

"I told you, I don't need a gift," I slowly replied as she shook her head and forced the present onto my hands.

"Have you already forgotten?"

"Hmm?? What do you mean...?" She looked at me in confusion as I sighed and ran my fingers through her dark brown hair.

"YOU are my gift,"

I pulled her closer while whispering deep into her ears as she froze and dropped the present onto the floor, blushing deeply in pink shades.
