.Jungkook sat silently in an empty classroom, nursing the bruise on his lip with an ice pack. He had forbidden Jimin, Mingyu, and Ken from following him he needed some time alone.
Jungkook had always been disciplined, making his parents proud with his achievements. He cherished the control he maintained over his life, the ability to project the image he wanted the world to see. There was nothing he valued more than this control, but it always shattered always whenever Kim Asshole Taehyung was involved.
Their rivalry stretched back to childhood. By now, Jungkook should have learned to control his anger around Taehyung, but no matter how many years passed, he still lost his cool whenever Taehyung provoked him. Jungkook prided himself on maintaining control, but Taehyung's mere presence was enough to unsettle him completely. It was impossible not to react.
"Someday, I'll kill him for sure," Jungkook mumbled, his head still filled with the memory of their fight in the garden.
He wasn't interested in Ji-eun. Hell, he hardly got interested in anyone these days. No one excited him anymore, the hopeless romantic in him was dying from the lack of dating and romance. He had slept with girls, but that something that spark, that magical feeling people talk about when you're intimate-was never there. It was just empty, mechanical. At one point, it got so frustrating that he decided to stop dating altogether after just two weeks in college.
These days, he found solace in his own company. He was better with his hands than any one he'd been with. The fleeting physical pleasure was nothing compared to the frustration of not feeling that deeper connection. He missed the thrill of real intimacy, the kind that left you breathless and wanting more. Instead, he was left with a growing void inside him, one that only seemed to expand each time he tried and failed to fill it.
After brooding over his failed personal life, Jungkook grabbed his bag, said a terse goodbye to his friends, and headed to his bike. Putting on his helmet, he felt a rush of anticipation. This this was what excited him nowadays. Speeding down the road, cutting through the air, feeling the exhilarating mix of freedom and the flirtation with losing control, knowing he could reclaim it anytime he wanted but still letting it go for a moment. Fuck, that was what gave Jungkook that hot feeling. He revved the engine, leaning low over the bike, feeling every pulse of power beneath him.
He reached home sooner than expected, the ride ending all too quickly. After parking the bike, he slipped inside, trying to make a beeline for his room. But his mom, ever vigilant, was quick to intercept him.
"Again?!" she shouted, making Jungkook sigh and turn to face her.
"Why do you always fight with him you have cut on your lips!?" she glared at him, her frustration palpable.
"I don't! He comes to me to fight! It's not my fault!" Jungkook argued back, his voice rising defensively.
"Oh really? What about the time you wrote 'Eat shit, asshole' on Taehyung's bike? You're no different than him! You're both equally to blame!" his mom shot back, her eyes blazing with anger.
"and do you know what he did before that?" Jungkook shot back." He wrote 'baby boy would you like to have cock up your ass?' In my bike! He start it, now you tell me why I can't do it back!"
Soo-min sigh rub her hands over her face. Their vulgar words are heating her cheeks, making her embarrase. "Look Jungkook, you both are just too much. Do you don't understand how your this behaviour is effect us as your families as well? Do you know how worried we are cause of you both? You always on eachother's throats! Even though your families are so close to each other!" Her voice raised up but still sadness were there.
