Jungkook scrunched up his nose, eyes fluttering as he tilted his head back slightly. “Hehh… heh… achoo!” The sneeze shook his whole frame, and he sniffled, rubbing at his nose with the back of his hand. “Ugh!!” He groaned, voice thick and a bit whiny. Turning his head to the side, he glared at the boy lying lazily beside him. “It all happened because of you!”

Taehyung didn’t even look over. “Seriously?” he muttered with a scoff, still staring up at the blue sky above them. “Who would’ve thought the great Jeon Jungkook is such a baby? A little water play and you’re already red-nosed and sneezy?”

The sunlight filtered through the leaves above, casting dappled shadows across their damp clothes spread out on the rocks nearby. They were both half-dry now, lying side by side on the warm grass, soaking up the sun after their morning lake fiasco.

Jungkook didn’t respond with words at first. He kicked Taehyung with his foot—firm enough to grab attention, but not to hurt. Taehyung blinked and turned his head toward him.

“Oh?” he raised a brow. “Now where did that leg pain go?”

“You drenched my bandage, you jerk!” Jungkook snapped, pouting with narrowed eyes and puffed cheeks. “Even my cut got soaked—what if it gets infected?! You’re the worst!”

Taehyung just stared at him for a second, and then, with the laziest smirk, muttered under his breath, “Angry bird.”

Before Jungkook could process what that smile meant—Taehyung pounced.

“Ack! Wait—Taehyung!! What are you—ahh! No! Stop!!” Jungkook burst into laughter, twisting and kicking weakly as Taehyung attacked him with both hands, tickling him under his ribs, over his stomach, anywhere he could reach.

“Say it!” Taehyung grinned manically. “Say you loved playing in the water with me! Say it or I’m not stopping!”

“You’re insane! You’re a literal child! Stop—Tae-tae! I’m gonna die!!” Jungkook squealed, laughing so hard tears welled in the corners of his eyes.

And suddenly it all stopped!

Jungkook lay on the grass, breathing hard, the corners of his lips still trembling with the remnants of joy. Taehyung hovered above him, hair a little damp, eyes glowing. But his expression shifted as he stared down at Jungkook. Something flickered between them again, something quiet and unfinished.

Jungkook blinked, chest still rising and falling from all the laughter. “W-What?” he asked, voice uncertain, seeing the change in Taehyung’s expression.

Taehyung looked away, letting his head drop slightly. A soft blush bloomed over the curve of his ear, creeping into the edge of his neck.

“I just remembered something,” he said, voice low, almost careful.

Jungkook raised an eyebrow, still recovering. “What? Something embarrassing?” he teased. “Or someone? Don’t tell me you’ve shared moments like this with some—”

“You were calling me Tae yesterday,” Taehyung interrupted. “When you were cumming on my hands....also you never used to call me that...”

Jungkook froze. The words were crude, direct..Taehyung had already turned back onto his side, eyes staring up at the sky as if he hadn’t just dropped a boulder between them.

“Oh—” Jungkook breathed out.

Silence. The kind that made the air feel too heavy to move.

Jungkook turned his face away, trying to focus on anything else—the leaves, the sound of birds in the distance, the warmth of the sunlight on his cheek—but his heart was thudding loud in his chest.
